    If you look real close you might see family pictures behind the printer.
    Also the last week's worth of snacks (2 family size boxes of chips ahoy) and a lightsaber. It's winter, so the temperature next to a sliding glass door is terrible, even with curtains.

    The whole thing is adorned with cheap headphones and a passable chair i picked up from the thrift shop.

    I did not know this is even a thing back in November 2016 when I ordered a custom built PC. I wish I had dual monitors, but this will have to do .. I still use my 2015 Macbook Air for email and non gaming stuff, hmm .. when am I not ever using an app that is not gaming-related xD. What you do not see are the heap of messy papers when I do quests or moderating and my snack pile that sits on a short stool by a trash can (I might update this one day).

    Nice setup! Although it is a weird mix of high-end and budget components, and huge towers aren't really my taste. May I ask why you opted for a Z-170 motherboard? Is it for the M.2 SSD slot?
    P.S.: I'm planning to custom build a new pc this year, I might do a before-after comparison to my boring old setup!

    @Grvphene

    Thank you! I'm curious, which component do you consider high-end versus the budget?
    I'm not use to the huge tower case either. Even my old workplace pre-built Dell PCs were never this huge ... It is quite an adjustment from my Macbook Air laptop to the "tower". I really don't have the room for the tower under the desk, so it sits beyond the table footprint. The Asus Z170 motherboard was part of a basic package offered by CyberPowerPC during their Halloween special. I tweaked/replaced components if I had the budget for it. I'm not knowledgable about mb's. Perhaps look to reviews on MBs. However having received it, the motherboard has a versatile panel and I could connect my older Samsung monitor which needs a VGA cable, and the panel has enough USB ports and a HDMI connection. I do not know if it is necessary to have the Z170 mb to accommodate a M.2 SSD. The case design also has two extra USB ports which I attached a Bluetooth dongle for my speakers. I also added a few extras that the package did not have. A fan controller. And a slightly higher watts Pwr Supply. Although the package offered a free keyboard and wired mouse, I had a specific key type in mind & already owned a better mouse The keyboard was something that had good reviews for the past year offering nice features. I chose not to get a web cam since I'm not recording YT videos for streaming. I already had the bluetooth speakers but for gaming, I use a high audio-quality headphones with the high quality ModMic that simply adheres to the headphone and extends out like a mini boom. PCGamer has a review for it http://www.pcgamer.com/the-best-microphones-for-gaming-and-live-streaming/ I would add that Steam games take up a lot of space on the SSD, and you want the apps to load up fairly quickly. I would probably upgrade the space on the SSD if I can later on.
    Hope this helps. xD

    Wow, That's a nice high-end pc build...

    I'm doing a similar build, but without overclocking the CPU and using Kaby-Lake instead. Also tiny. And already got myself an external hard drive. Thought if I share my future PC build. I probably could make it internal...
