Art +under The Lake+

Making this was truly a challenge!! This is my submission of my interpretation of Lake Gylia from the quest Purple and Blue! the lake is really significant to me because i remember that fierce determination i had to level quickly in order to explore that beautiful, mysterious lake smack in the middle of the gavel expansion,,, when i finally got to it, it was really satisfying to do the entire quest and to this day its still my favorite quest in the game simply because of how breathtakingly beautiful it was!

accessories: jester bracelet, malachite, ring of generosity, morph ruby

I like how you decided on the blue/purple cold colours palette and the "unfocused" part of the background

I still don't know how to use medibang tho

Anyways, you can try to add more shadows to give a 3D effect and add luminosity to the crystals and surroundings to give them a glowing effect too!

I actually prefer warm colours too, but my submission turned out a mix but warm still dominates xP

how'd you make all the glowy and star effects they're so hard :o

 

thank you!! i use medibang, so i made a custom brush with a star pattern on it to create the star effects, and the glowing effects are made with an airbrush and the blending settings were changed!

I wanna ask, how do you make the background "blur"? I've always been wondering how to do that XP

 

oh, its a gaussian blur! (although i would have used a different blur if given the resources haaa)
in medibang, its under layer>gaussian blur
