Stardew Valley

Was just curious how many other people play it or have played it?

I must admit I had my doubts at first (I mean, farming sim?) but a friend gifted it to mean and damn, it's quite a game.

 

I used to play it all the time for a few months ago but I grew tired of it, it got a bit repetitive. It is a great game though, I love it.

What year did you get to though?

 

It's a really satisfying and addicting game imo, I played until winter year 3 on my first farm. I've also made two others just to try out the new stuff in the update, but I haven't come through year one on any those. It's worth a play for anyone who's into farming and rpg games.

 

I think I'm at Spring year 3? Dunno tbh

I used to watch a guy called Pedguin play it. It seemed fairly fun.

 

I really liked it, especially on my first playthrough discovering all the unique events (Stardew Valley Fair, Halloween event, Ice Fishing (Which I demolished because I got really skilled at fishing)) but when I hit the second year, I lost a ton of interest. SV had really run out of the majority of new content for me. Sure, I had yet to unlock every bundle set, and I still had the secret pyramid mines thing to do, but even then that just felt like an even harder version of the mines; you need to clear them all in one fell swoop otherwise you'll make no progress whatsoever in the very limited time frame you're given.

There have been some updates to SV though, as I've seen, since my first playthrough of it was around the time they (finally) released Linux support for it. Perhaps I'll come back to it one day and explore the new content.

 

I plan on getting back into it as soon as co-op comes out. Cuz what's better than dicking around on a farm than dicking around on a farm with friends?

Aw man, I had setups upon setups going. Iridium sprinklers, The miner production machine making diamonds (Forgot the name, it's been a while) Made it quite far in the skull cavern, I had it all. Then my saved data got corrupted xD

Hopefully I'll have some peeps to hit up and join with when co-op is released. That'll be hella fun.

I highly recommend it, a ton of fun to explore and mess around.

I see what you mean, but oh man there's a ton of secret content. It's designed so that you keep unlocking stuff basically until the end of year 3. There's timed events or just new stuff that you unlock from bundles, so I recommend you give it a go again.
or wait for co-op which sounds like a load of fun

Similar thing happened to me, but turns out it was just the game that got corrupted. Got a new computer, re-downloaded, and found out steam cloud had saved all my progress.

I'm on year 5 or 6 rn I think, I packed my greenhouse with cranberries and blueberries. Probably one of the many games I'm addicted to lmao
