SPOILER Is The Thanos Gear Overpriced?

Every ingame shop item is overpriced.

 

I think you're missing the point of shop items, it is created to provide the player base an alternative option when they cannot loot good gears to sustain their playthrough, while your main point is valid, you can also state that if they are this expensive players cannot effectively use shop items at its purpose.

However, for tldr part 1&2, I do not agree that the demand supply curve has anything to do with this part (or mmorpg items even but more on that in forever) becoz even their supply is unlimited and demand is low, there is not a "shopkeeper" that is needed to make profit or they have to attract customers to buy their product, as the whole situation is only one sided(customer). In the world of mmorpg, the effort of gaining money is low (basically free money hidden in anything), and there are no consequences being broke, if the player really really wants that item they can surely afford it (in some point). That is also the reason of inevitable inflation of wanted items in game despite their unlimited supply nature (mythics)

Therefore economical aspect of looking at this issue is out of the window, the only reasonable way to look at this problem is ingame perspective, aka somehow related to your points made in quest LEs and end game stuff, and yes these stuff are expensive af. you should also know that lv 80 items can be end game if the stats are suitable for the player's build.

Tldr: your point is valid, your argument is not

There might be times when that happens. Also, boss fighting service aren't perfect safe for you, you have a big-ish chance to get wrecked, and even more with the bug fix. You're not going below 5sp doesn't mean everyone does the same.

 

If you are go below 5sp knowing the consequences (at level 75 you should be aware of those) then thats your own fault... so i really wouldnt use the argument that some people loose money because they willingly take the risk as an argument to why the prices should be lowered XD

 

But the LE thing overall applies. It takes about 1/4 of your currency you just have.

 

Hmmm well i guess there is a reason why the gear tier is called legendary right? .-. also even if there is better gear for that level.. that is most likely legendary as well meaning the thanos gear can also be considered the option for the people who are impatient. You ll have to decide either you grind and hope you get lucky orrrr you are impatient and pay the money to buy a similar legendary in the thanos shop. Ofc thats going to be painfully expensive.. its legendary gear after all

 

"Legendary" in Wynncraft means:
1. It is rare.
2. It has a good quality.
3. (Only for some endgames) It is expensive.

This set (I think) isn't really a good endgame item to wear.

 

hmmmm well considering its level it really doesnt have to be usable for endgame lol it just has to be good for its apropriate level which it is. If it isnt really usable for endgame then why are we making such a fuzz over the price? If you dont want it you wouldnt really have to care ._. Since several people care i assume that that means they either want it for their main of for some secondary class and since this is supposed to drain your money that objective is fullfilled perfectly by these legendaries if people want them.
Not only that but since when does wynncraft have to adjust its prices to the prices we players make on the trade market? lel just because we value an item to have a certian worth doesnt mean that wynncraft itself has to go with these prices. Its completely up to them what price they want since the prices that are made up by the GMs really dont have to fit to the prices we would give them .-.

 

Well, some people will want to get this set, but it is overpriced and they won't becuase it is, and this will cause arguments. If you say it's not endgame like I said, why not drop the price? This will be good for the little percentage of players to buy them.

Also, people would choose to grind to get a legendary worth 5 EB for identifying instead of buying this 12 LE gear!

 

This may not be the case for everyone as not everyone is patient.. rn for me if one of the armour pieces actually fit to one of the builds i have in my for my other classes rn i would probs end up buying the thanos armour piece cus why not XD So at least on me this money sink would work because i have enough money to spend it on this. So for people like me these money sinks are perfect. Also who said that this is only for new players? There are plenty of more experiences/richer players out there that are starting new classes.

 

To be fair, it is one of the best endgame options for Earth/Fire/Air, though that elemental combo is extremely rare to see used.

 

Idk i dont think there are a loooooot of good fire earth air armour pieces (you know that a lot better than i do :p ) and because of that i dont think many new players would use such a combination... sounds more like a combination you would use :D
However even if this combination was used a lot i feel like 12le+ is a fair price for an endgame piece that has fixed Ids and that you dont have to find. (Also at endgame 12le shouldnt be terrible to get ._. unless you spend your whole money on the trade market x) )

I will admit that 12 LE is quite expensive for level 80s. But I still don't think it's so overpriced that it needs to be nerfed.
I checked the trade market out a bit, and there seem to be plenty of level 80-90 items that are around the same price.

 

Overpriced af. Doesn't matter if it's a shop item, regular legendaries in shops don't essentially chop your worth by half. Even with grinding, YOURE LOSING A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MONEY. If it costs more than 1/4 your cash, it's overpriced

 

isn't Thanos meant to be a dodgy place. It has a scam merchant

 

I wonder how much will the Ahmsord/Rodoroc and (soon™)Corkus gear will cost....

ahmsord/Rodoroc have already had their shops done up. They do not contain any legendaries as far as im aware so anything on sale is "Only" a few le

 

Feels pretty workable for endgame to me, honestly. Plus, if you wear the other pieces, you don't have to invest any further skill points into the chestplate, AND each piece can hold a powder special.
