Any Class Help Quick Question About -1 Tier Attack Speed

I'm planning to make a build with the Fire Hive Leggings (forget the name), and one of it's IDs is -1 Tier Attack Speed. I was wondering if this would affect my chances to activate lifesteal/mana steal and the amount of damage my spells would do.

I know that faster attack speed weapons get a multiplier when calculating spell damage, and slower attack speed weapons have a higher chance of activating mana/life steal. Since my attack speed would be lowered, will I have a higher chance of activating life/mana steal, and do less damage with my spells?

 

It will increase your chance for life/mana steal but negative/positive tier ids no longer affect spell damage

 

Cindedchain, and to answer your question, you will have a higher chance to activate lifesteal and mana steal with slower weapons, but since the base damage with slower weapons is higher, the multiplier that converts dmg to spells is lower, but with faster weapons, the multiplier is higher. They are equal basically, but since I do not know the full calculation, I can not fully answer your question.

+/- attack speed in IDs will not affect your spell damage but will only affect your melee speed
Although you have higher chance in activating life steal and mana steal, you hit slower so the average is the same

But there is a multiplier in which damage is balanced between faster and slower weapons. Faster Attack Speed dealing less damage has a multiplier that increases its spell damage; while slower attack speed dealing more damage has a less multiplier.
