Server Rs Pack Downloads But All Armor Is Generic

I recently returned to the magical world of Wynn, but to my horror all the wonderful wearable items are showing as generic items. For example, my Mummy's Rag chestplate does not have the proper texture, but rather, shows as an iron chestplate. etc. The server tells me that the resource pack has been downloaded...and the rest of the map looks normal...all bar wearable items. Help!

 

Mummy's rag is a dyed leather chestplate tho

 

If you have been gone for a while, then I am sorry to say that armor textures are gone for now, but may return soon(tm)

 

Sorry, it is grey leather haha ... Looked like iron at first.

If the diamond and iron helmets look like full helmets in f5 then it means the packs working

They were cool, but they caused a lot of issues, and some textures didn't look great. I wouldn't be against them being readded if they were redone to stop the lag issues though

 

i really dont care about armor textures, i just care about weps
wel... armors i can care a bit...
still dreaming with the sweet ninja disguise that could have been there once...

 

Is your issue that the skins armors used to have are gone, or that the armor is still the vanilla texture, not the texture in the resource pack?
Armor skins were removed because they generally caused a lot of problems so if it's that that's why.

Probably not, Mojang fixed the exploit that allowed us to modify skins I've heard.

Isn't it possible to retexture every color of dyed helmets? They have different NBT tags no?

 

You could do that yes and you could also retexture armor pieces based on durability as well. However, you cannot remodel the texture so making 3D armor isn't possible as of right now. Changing the texture of an armor piece based on durability though is possible

Idk if you saw my last response and it was kinda irrelevant so sorry. Anyways, hypixel used block models and the /hat command. You could do this with blocks ofc but it would only work for a helmet model.

No I made a response about /ignore that was I deleted because it was posted in the wrong response. The thing about the helmets was completely relivant

 

I think this might actually be possible again. On High Pickle, in their newest update to their minigame Mega Walls, when you choose one of the 'Classes' your skin is changed to the skin you have set for the class, but you retain your nametag and such.
