How Do I Build Redstone Machines!?

Can someone help me build some sick redstone things?

You first have to figure out what you want to build, I'd suggest starting with something simple like, say, a door or auto cobblestone generator. From there, head to YouTube to figure out what you need. If you don't understand a circuit, google it. And in the end, you should have a functioning machine of some description.

2. design the crap u want to build
3. build it
4. huh... i guess continue building it?
5. enjoy

Redstone can be a pretty tricky thing. I personally recommend watching different guides on Youtube to build simple redstone contraptions and understand the basics. Then try to solve a simple problem with the knowledge you just acquired; if it doesn't work the first time, struggle through the problem by trying to look up new solutions. The only way to be able to understand redstone thoroughly is to learn the information and then put it to practice until you find another problem and find out why it isn't working the way you want it to, and finally work around it.

That was the method I used to learn how redstone worked, and now I can pretty much build anything with it. I hope it Helped!

1. Dig a small area
2. Place redstone
3. Realise the area is too small
4. Expand area
5. Water accidentally flows in
6.Repeat

 

I used to be horrible at redstone, but after watching enough guides I have a pretty strong grasp on it. So uh, just do a bunch of guides.
