Corkus/fruma Speculations Part I

Now that the wynnter update and a new Wynn tales has came out, I have decided to make some speculations. Who knows maybe I might be right with some of these?!

Speculation 1: Fruma will be level 60+
Evidence: Mobs level usually tend to reflect their respective region. The only mobs of Frumic decent are the imperial knight located at the entrance of Fruma. These knights are all level 60. Also don't you think its a little too specific that their level is exactly 60 and not any other odd number?

Speculation 2: The mysterious amnesia
The wynn tales seem to point to some mysterious amnesia from humans leaving the province of fruma. Due to this amnesia little to none is known about fruma. My theory is that this amnesia is some sort of measure taken by the Fruma hierarchy to keep their power. It might be some sort of magic because you don't loose any memories between traveling from the other provinces. Knowledge is power and the hierarchy is the only group with knowledge of their own province. It would make sense for them to keep this knowledge tightly restricted.

Speculation 3: the Kai Shi
Described to be the Fruman royal guard. What strikes me odd is the juxtaposition of an eastern name coupled with the middle age style of the guard themselves. When you travel to the gates of Fruma you can see imperial knights, and they're just that, knights. Plated armor, sword wielding, European style knights. Either these entrance guards aren't the Kai shi, or these are the Kai shi. Also the words Kai and shi are from Chinese origin. These two words translate to start, begin, commerce, and initiate. Notice anything about those words? They all deal with starting something

Speculation 4: Wynn / Fruma split
The wynn tales tell us that Wynn and Fruma have two kinds of borders, Provincial and territorial. We know the territorial borders were drawn by mountains that "Separated the contrasting lands". That leaves us with the Provincial borders. We do know that these borders are at least 1000 years old by the age of "the single well traveled passage way". My guess is that the Fruman hierarchy closed this passageway just at about the same time the corruption broke out in wynn. They probably didn't want the corruption to trace back to the humans home lands. Either that or the Fruman hierarchy went full isolationist and closed the border themselves.

Level 60 seems a bit too low. There's already so much content there and even moving it further up would mix it with corkus content. I believe it's around level 90

 

"Commerce" or "commence?"

And it could be tied to "the birth of a 'new era'" or some such baloney.

 

Fruma should be lv 30

 

Corkus has been compared to America on several accounts. Fruma is most likely Britain, more specify, their empire. So the question is what does that make Wynn? My guess is that 1001 years ago, wynn was a colony of Fruma, manged by a self opposed government that answered to Fruma. 1000 years ago the corruption breaks out, and the threat of it destroying their colony is too much, Fruma needs to protect their colony, but not at the expense of their province being corrupted. Fruma imposes a isolationist policy, cut all ties with wynn, and most likely erases the memory of Fruma in Wynnian heads. After that wynn is just a province, but to the people of Wynn, all they can remember is their home province, Wynn.

Besides, since chinese characters have 4 different tones, there are 16 different combinations of different meanings of "Kai Shi"
Kai(open)+shi(is)=open is?
Kai(open)+shi(ten)=open ten?

And if we knew which two characters it was, it would still leave the interpretation of the name up to debate, since chinese compound words are sometimes a little strange in their meanings

Huo(fire)+ji(chicken)=not fire chicken, but turkey.

Yes but remember, it takes an awful lot of time to reach level 90+, and what's the goal of every Minecraft server? Gaining more players. Making s whole new mid-level province will hype players and give more people access. It's basic economics. The lower level, the more people will enjoy. Remember, Fruma is quite big, so the beginning area could be Level 60, and it slowly progresses up the levels.

seems strange that fruma would be 60+ even though the player exits fruma at lvl 1.

then again, if the tower of amnesia lets you "forget" things via a skill point reset, then a level reset would be a total mind wipe.

 

My bet is on level 80-100

 

It'll probably end up being level 90-125, then Dern will be 120-150.

Also, the people saying that it'll start at lower levels for new players, there is already PLENTY of content at the lower levels, and once you reach level 60, you don't have to grind until level 82, so there's no point in there being any content added into the 60-80 level range EVER.

 

Guys you should look at this logically

Wynn storyline was 1-70 (or 75 depending on which year you finished)
Gavel storyline is 40-100 so far

so if Wynn takes up 60 levels to get to 70, Gavel also takes 60 levels to get to 100 then i'm guessing Fruma will take the same route

Fruma maybe 70-130?
Wynn was 1>40 = 30 levels,
Gavel would be40>70 = 30 levels too
70 + 60 (the level gap between start and finish of a province) = 130

 

1>40 = 30 levels, possibly some of the most amazing maths ever XD... I do agree with your point though, despite your small error, the maths would conclude that:
Wynn:1-40 (introduce Gavel)
Gavel:40-80 (introduce Corkus)
Corkus:80-100 (introduce Fruma)


As each of the Provinces has 40 levels until "unlocking" the next province, it would make sense that Fruma is 80-120. (Corkus is kinda a half Province so it only has 20 levels (Maybe more will be added when the level cap is raised?))

Continuing on from this, Dern would be 120-160. However, I believe that Dern will not have too many quests (i.e no filler quests, just stuff related to the storyline or basic introduction) and will probably go up to level 150.

It would therefore be logical that Fruma will raise the level cap to 125, and have quests mainly for 80-120.
Dern will then raise the level cap for a final time to 150, and have quests from 120 up to 150.

 

We all know Fruma is a lie though (#FrumaIsALie)
