Troubled Tribesman

I'm "investigating" the roots of Entamis, but I can't find anything except for a way into their mouth.
Is the quest broken, or am I doing something wrong? Please answer this!

 

If you're trying to get into the tree with the face in it (by the shaman), then that isn't the correct tree. Head back to the actual village, and there will be an entrance into the big tree there. (That's what they mean by "investigating the roots", as the entrance is at the roots of the tree.)

I had the same issue the first time I did it, and I thought the shaman tree was the "Entamis" tree. Go back to the village, and there should be the correct opening there.
