Here are the oldest screenshots I have, from when I encountered a bug which spawned two Witherheads:

Back in my day:

• No quests
• No Gavel
• No level past 70
• No expanded ocean (Just a castle among a couple other things)
• No horses
• Pig Ball (forgot the exact name, it was between the Nivla Woods and Detlas)
• Dungeons didn't evolve keys
• Troms was just a huge pile of stone (they didn't finish building it yet)
• Only 4 classes (warrior, mage, assassin, archer)
• The Nether was based on level and strength, not balanced like it is today
• There weren't any skill points
• Map was much smaller and looked different than the way it does today (not gonna go into every small detail)
• Far less items
• The bridge into the jungle was much harder to get through
• Slimes/magma cubes were broken - could easily 1 shot you
• Level 70 warrior was practically invincible, /kill took a few times to kill you and you could barely be hurt by any other class
• The max number of soul points were 10
• VIP was the only rank, needed to buy it for access to the assassin class
• Smoke bomb (one of the asssassin's class abilities) caused extreme lag, ending up crashing the server often
• The class selection screen was different - you were in this stonebrick 1x1 hole with each class (4) on each side with a button that you pushed to choose that class

And so much more that I can't think of right now. Sadly I don't have many screenshots because I never really thought of taking them. Feel free to add onto this list if you want.

• Well, there was 71, but that was a bug and only one person ever got it. Although I'm 85% sure the way that bug worked inspired the addition of level 101 (works the same way as the old bug, but legal).
• Fun fact about that castle in the ocean. It wasn't deleted, but instead moved to the arena where you fight Bob's Reincarnation, it's off in the background on the snow plain.
• There's a nod to this in Lusuco now. There's a pig puck game on an ice rink in the mountains above the city.
• They kinda threw that out the window with gavel. Levels and builds are distinct again in the nether, for better or for worse.

Adding to your list...

• TForums weren't on Xenforo back in the day. Even before 9/7 happened there was lost content (as an example, the Ragni and Lusuco library Easter eggs were on the OLD old forums as stories presented by Grian).
• Items weren't skill point dependent and IDs were very few in number (only XP/loot bonus, spell damage, life steal/regen, mana steal/regen, and that's probably about it).
• Besides the late modification to Sodeta boots, Mana regen was an ID exclusive to weapons and could only ever have a value of 1.
• The game used to start in the Ragni castle with no explanations other than how to use your starting spell.
• Spells used to be very different. Bomb arrow didn't bounce. Escape didn't have a stomp and gave speed at all 3 tiers. Bash hit three times. War scream had a range similar to spin attack. Ice snake used to be ice barrier (essentially the same thing but it only hit at one group of blocks you pointed at). Meteor was similar to mage's normal attack, but much more explosive. Multihit didn't fling enemies/players around. All this among other things.
• 30+ second lag spikes were a common thing and a normal part of the game.
• People used to make imaginary guilds on the forums before they were actually added to the game.
• There was a parkour hidden in the Pirates bay (the one next to nemract and saints row) that if you failed, would leave you stuck in a cave and force you to /kill.
• Jungle fever was actually challenging (the golems lived up very well to the "one shot everyone" thing) and everyone hated it when quests were first introduced.

There is a ton more but I'm getting tired of typing all this. Tl;dr Wynn used to be way different than it is now, or even in the era just before gavel.

I wish they would release the older wynncraft maps... Or at least have them available to look at in the lobby. I can get why they don't have the new ones, but I fee like its changed so much since the first launch.

Oh my god... the memories... I actually might kinda tear up ;-;

Nostalgia is a weird thing... You yearn to have it back... but you know that it's better now than it was back then... but you just have the feeling that there was some things that made the thing you want better... idk... maybe it's just me... but oh my god the memories are flooding back to me...

 

In my day the almuj wall was basically 100% flat.

 

Before they fixed the windows next to the Almuj bank I would just look through the window to use the bank before I did the quest.

personally I think the old spawn is cooler than the current, I am really hoping the spawn in progress is going to look amazing because from the teaser in the stream it looks good so far

 

2014 and before is old. But everything before 2015 is kinda vague

 

i played in 2014 and dont remember jack xD. I do remember gltiching through the outside of the silver fish dungeon with horses with my friends. good times

Keep in mind the second to last shot was directly followed by the last shot.

Exploring Gavel while being underleveled and oblivious to the new map was the most fun I've ever had in a video game. Everything before Gavel was incredible and felt completely different from the server we play on today.
