Is Gavel Finished?

So, many people are coming to the conclusion that the gavel expansion is finished, and now we're moving on to corkus and fruma. But... After going over this trailer:

I noticed some things that we have yet to see. Now, this stuff may have just been for hype or for example, but it makes you wonder.
Point A. Whatever the fuck this is:

So this "worm" thing is seen popping in and out of the ground and it looks like it would be an interesting boss that would require different strategies than others.
Point B. This cutscene

So you know Ragnar? The person that was mentioned every now and then that led to many theories? Well he's in this trailer with a character named "bak 'al". Bak 'al is also seen in a teaser that I'm to lazy to find.
Point C. Sky pirate base

It's been speculated that this area in sky islands is the sky pirates base. And it's pretty weird that it's like... Mostly empty.

There are many more points I could make but what do you all think? Is gavel really finished?

 

Well, the simple answer is no. As stated in the third changeblog from the Gameplay update, there is still a mini storyline planned for the molten heights and after that a main storyline to wrap up most of the loose ends.

Well, considering there are no quests in molten heights, no explanation as to who Siegfred is, and only a partial story of the decay, I'd have to say no.

 

You also have the suspected element dungeons(?) and the light dungeon.

 

Most likely a teaser for the boss of a Gavel dungeon, most likely the WIP swamp dungeon we unlock at the end of the Worm holes quest.

An official storyline has been mentioned multiple times so it's probably that.

Probably future quest.

I believe Grian has said that they plan to add new areas to Gavel, so Gavel itself is definitely not finished.

Anyways, I imagine they didn't want to delay Gavel any further so they decided to cut some stuff we saw from the trailer and save it for a later update. (most likely after Corkus)

The swamp dungeon, light realm dungeon, molten heights storyline, dullahan mansion and the main story have yet to be completed

idk why but for some reason we are getting corkus before we are getting the main story line/the molten heights quests
alltho grian did say that we will get a few new quests that are not in corkus in the update
so i am assuming those quests will be the finishing touch to the sky islands and mybe the main story line or molten heights quests

 

But Fruma and Corkus aren't Gavel ;P

Considering they literally state in-game that the Light Realm Dungeon isn't done, no

 

Nothing is ever completely /done/ per say, there is always room for improvement.

 

As you can probably already tell, there's still a few loose ends to wrap up, such as Molten Heights, but now that we're getting pretty close to filling up the Sky Islands, we've had a bit more room to focus on other content too like Corkus. I'm not sure if any province will ever be truly "finished" but one day we'll probably have to move on from Gavel for a bit to do other provinces. For now, we're definitely a lot closer to "finishing" than we were last year.

So to answer your question: "No... for now."
