One Of The Provinces Isn't Real?

the first text, he says corkus will be the future FOURTH PROVINCE

does this mean dern is not real?
because fruma,gavel and wynn are already confirmed... dern isnt real? ;o

I brought this up before, someone just thought that they might not know it exists.
It could be that we need to bring up the province vs realm argument again (oh god please no)
OR! Corkians just have an extreme bias against Fruma.

 

wait that does mean is basically the Grinding Spots and Dungeons province?
no cities because too much leveling up spots?

Technically, according to the lore, between light (Gavel) and darkness (Dern), there is corruption (Wynn). Dern contains 'dark' beings instead of corrupted, magical, or dead things, and is apparently ruled by 'the eye'. However, it isn't really considered a province, as it doesn't have an official government (Unlike the monarchies ruling over Gavel/Fruma/Wynn and the unknown government of Corkus).

 

The logic lies in how Corkus wants to be recognized as a province.

Wynn, Gavel, and Fruma are all recognized provinces within the World, but Corkus isn't it; neither is Dern, being a land of evil.

 

I say Dern is a province, just that everybody is too afraid of the darkness there and didn't actually go check. Also I had a theory in my head that the "corruption" in dern would be called "The Growth" as opposed to "The Decay" in Gavel lol

Hmmmm, I don't know if I would consider Dern a province or not. I mean, you need to use a portal to get there. However, everyone is overlooking a province called Well, which is mentioned by an engineer at the selchar docks.

Wynn, Gavel & Fruma: these are the 3 provinces talked about in the lore.

Corkus: The 'fourth province'. While corkians consider themselves a province, Wynn, Gavel, & Fruma do not consider them a province. therefore it's not a province.

Dern: A far off dark land. Not a province lore wise. Grian said to consider it one, but for all lore intensive purposes, its not a province.

Or Dern could be the 5th province...

 

They don't consider it a province because its all dead and uninhabited and stuff. I hope to see few villages fighting the dark tho, that'd be pretty gnarly.

 

If Corkus and Dern aren't considered provinces, then why does someone in Eltom say the Eltom baker makes the best pies in all four provinces?
