this is just like when sya made wynnapps on his own and then helped us with the website, we should encourage this kind of activity (unless all he does is copy with no changes or experiments on his end).

Moto-Online = Best rpg server. Even better then DR.

 

I came into this would be like zentrela where their system is pretty original. However this is just a copy/paste of wynncraft's combat system.

 

I never knew that you can actually copyright strike a server ._.

If they end up actually having EB I wouldn't consider it a copy.
Even in vanilla Minecraft, Emeralds -> EB is just natural progression. I don't really know why you'd need a lot of EB in vanilla Minecraft (you can only get so much from Villagers)....
And the same is with diamonds -> diamond blocks (you must be rich. or in creative mode.)
Redstone -> redstone blocks
etc.

Now if a lot of the plugins are exact copies of the Wynncraft plugins, that is a problem. I think that some of the Wynncraft plugins are patented or something.

Honestly, if this guy did it as a passion project, that's cool.
It's just badly executed.
I mean it has some cool concepts and everything...
but other than that it's just a blatant copy of Wynncraft.
And I bet this person is creative.
Or at least skilled enough to copy Wynncraft's plugins.
And I feel like they have the potential to be more creative.
Not copy Wynncraft - maybe do something inspired by Wynncraft, but with its own unique aspects, game design, etc.

If feel like this is just a crappy zentrela. Which is saying a lot considering that's a crappy wynncraft.

 

To be honest, this "rip-off" of Wynncraft isn't a serious issue unless it starts diverting players from here to this other server. It appears to be much lower than Wynncraft standards at this point, and if it's like any other competing MMORPG server (such as Zentrela) it probably won't have a chance against Wynncraft's complexity and community.

I would stay passive on this issue and only engage if they start doing something against Wynncraft that is serious (such as claiming their ideas as their own or stealing music without crediting the source).

 

I swear to god if they steal my music I will hunt them down.

 

You can copyright strike literally everything that you can proof belongs to you xD
