Quick Question....

Today I was looking around the Wynncraft forums and found a post in the Minecraft section that was advertising a server a person was making similar to Wynncraft. Got me thinking about all the advertising stuff and things. So.... is that aloud and if so to what extent? Thanks for any responses

 

You can PM the ip to people, but only with their consent (aka you can't spam random people with your server but you can give them the ip personally if you plan on playing together).

Publicly, no, you're not allowed to advertise the server IP.

Occasionally other MMORPG servers like Wynncraft are posted here as a means of discussion but that's about it.

Ok thanks for clearing that up. The post i saw said they had asked one of higher up people (can't remember who) and the person said it was ok but no leaking the ip.
