How Is Xp Managed In Parties?

If i kill an enemy and im in a party with 4 players, does everyone get 25%? Or does the person who killed the enemy get 100% and the others get 10%? If its the first case, it would probaply be useless to party with someone who kills less enemys than you, because youd get less xp in total.

 

If someone kills a mob all party members get 25% of the xp as long as they're in the range of 100 blocks from each other (I think) and the guy who got the mob kill gets 100% of the xp, An least it was spawned by totem which in this case you'll only get xp for interacting with the mobs (Damaging them), I am also pretty certain that if for example there are 2 people in the party, One level 100 and the other level 30, And the level 100 kills a level 100 mob the level 30 won't get any xp because his level is more than 30-40 levels lower than the level 100 mob which is how the mob xp system works, I am only assuming all of this from experience though, None of this is written anywhere.

Does that mean that i could party with a lvl 10 player as lvl 50 and lvl them up super quick? Or is there a lvl barrier that stops this kind of abusement?

 

The xp goes through the xp level code thingy so if you have a 30 level difference it wont work (3% less xp per level)
