Broken Quest

it wont let me keep going on the quest called "wynnexcavation site c" because i dont have the purple crystal from wynnexcavation site b even do i have done it, https://gyazo.com/889b8cd50f80f471547becae4d8fe561

do you have the purple crystal in your inventory when trying to start site C?

if not, /fixquests or something

if yes, idk

 

i did have it in my inv when i started it, tried that it says that i did the purple crystal from wynnexcavation site b even doe i have done the quest and the quest book says to go talk to wynnexcavation site c quest person

 

The crystal has to be the quest item one, not the unreadable one.

If you don't have it, /fixquests should give it to you

If you've done Site B you should have received the purple crystal. That crystal is labeled as a "Quest Item" and therefore should be unable to leave your inventory (unless you glitched it out using the full inventory thing).

Make sure you have started the quest. Try going into the meeting area (the black coal doorway near the starter NPC) and see if you can get in. If not, try /fixquests and see if you can get the crystal back that way. If that still doesn't work, check your other classes and your bank to make sure the crystal isn't elsewhere.

If none of those solutions work, then I'm not sure what you can do. You can try and contact staff about it, but it's likely that they can't do anything about it.

When you "started" it, did you receive the starting dialogue or did you just receive the red text in your screenshot? If there was a barrier preventing it from starting (the red text message), then it wouldn't make since for the quest to be started.

Also, did you ever see the message (Quest Started: Wynnexcavation Site C) in your chat?

 

i did see it, be when i went throw the place and came out it said that i need the purple crystal to start the quest when i had it started already, so it doesnt make sense why

 

When you said "you went through the place", does that mean that you went through the meeting, the guard room, the Amadel room, and the crystal room, then went back and could not finish the quest?

That doesn't make any sense why you could go through the quest but not finish it because you need the crystal you gave to the excavator at the beginning. That is, unless I misunderstood something, and you didn't go through the entire quest.

I would try to get technical help/confirmation for this, but I'm not sure who to contact or whether they would respond to this. This sounds like a weird bug in the quest if my hypothesis is correct...

What I meant was that you talk to the first excavator to start the quest. Then you go in the doorway and listen to the meeting. Then, you get swarmed with guards, escape, meet Amadel, and get the red crystal shard. Then, you talk to the first excavator again to finish the quest.

I'm not sure if you've gone through the quest stages or not based on your information. You started the quest and gave the excavator the crystal, but I'm not sure if you went through the quest stages or you couldn't do anything because of the glitch.

After you escaped from the guards, did you talk to Amadel (the "???" NPC)? In order to complete the quest, you must talk to Amadel and continue down a path to the red crystal. After retrieving the crystal, you will enter a doorway that should take you back to the first excavator, who will take the red shard from you, replace it with the red quest shard, and say something to finish the quest.

 

i did talk to the ??? npc and went throw and then i went past the guards and then went out and couldnt complete quest

 

So what it sounds like is that you went through the entire quest, teleported back to the excavator, and received the crystal message. Did you happen to pick up one of the red crystal shards before you went back? If not, it's possible the lack of that crystal is preventing you from finishing the quest.

If you don't have the red crystal, just go through the coal doorway again and go through the rooms until you reach the crystal. Then, pick up a red shard and try to talk to the final NPC again.

The purple crystal message may be some sort of placeholder message for the lack of the red crystal. And, once you reach the end of the long tunnel (with the hostile excavators and golems), you should get some sort of message stating the guards are asleep and you will see the crystal. At the crystal base, there will be red crystal shards (red glass) that you must obtain in order to finish the quest.

 

when i reach the end, the golems are not friend and when i go the very end i get tp back to the npc

 

When you reach the end, you should see hostile golems, though they are frozen/slow. The fire crystal should be nearby, and the shards should be around it. Once you go through the exit, you should teleport back to the NPC to give him the red shard to end the quest.

Are you having trouble finding the crystal? It should be a large, glassy diamond structure, and below it should be the shard drops.
