well I am 17, I wouldn't be surprised if parts of my life aren't pg-13

 

Ik that it's generally fine, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to bother people about necroing just because why not...

Also, you could cut out the parts that are above PG-13... or is your entire life R rated?

 

it just feels a bit weird telling a story and then skipping 5 hours of it

NOVEMBER 23rd
I woke up at 7am and got ready
at 8am my parents drove me and my brother to the train station
we took a 1.5 hour train to get to Tel Aviv.
at 10am we met the Israeli participants in the competition and the Chinese competitor who came to study in Israel.
at 10:15am we got on the bus with the oversea participants and started driving south.
we didn't shut up the whole way.
at 13:00 we ate lunch at an indian restaurant at Mitzpe Ramon.
at 14:30 we went for a tour at a nearby Bedouin village were Salman showed us around and told us about how the Bedouin are dealing with living off grid.
at 16:00 we got back on the bus and started driving south to Ketura.
we got to Ketura at ~18:00 and checked into our rooms.
at 18:30 we had dinner (don't remember mush from it)
at 19:00 we met the chairman of the Eilot regional municipality, Dr. Hanan Ginat.
at 19:30-22:00 we started working on our projects (I worked on supplying power for emergency field hospitals, I was in a group with a German girl and another Israeli boy)
after 22:00 the schedule formally ended but we stayed out of our rooms and just talked sang and danced until 3am (we also bought some wine and vodka coz why not), we also had a guy from Cyprus that vaped the whole time so our room smelled like strawberry jam for a week.

Question: Do you write this as a diary everyday? (prob yes, but still asking)
If yes when did you first start with it?

 

Usually I write the entries a couple of days after they happen (because I'm a busy bee)
I actually don't have another diary and I update it whenever I feel like it (august-october are completely censored out as uploading a pg version wouldn't be entertaining.

NOVEMBER 24th
we woke up at 7:30 and just fucked around for half an hour.
at 8:00 we went to the dining room to eat breakfast.
at 9:00 we went on a tour in the off grid village in Ketura (ya'll should google vacuum solar tubes)
at 10:00 we met Daniel Ben Yehuda and talked with him about off grid systems and dilemmas (the longest 3 hours in my life, the guy is boring as hell)
at 13:00 we had lunch in the dining room (the food was ok)
at 14:00-16:00 we worked on our projects (we started sketching up a bio-diesel production line)
at 16:00 we went on a short hike and ate dinner in the desert around campfires with guitars and ukuleles.
at 19:00 we continued working on our projects until midnight.
after midnight we sat on the grass outside again covered with blankets because it was really cold
at 3am when everyone started going to their rooms to sleep I went with the Czech girl (I flirted with her since day one) to a small group of trees near the fence of the kibbutz and we just started making out there until 4:30am then we went back to our rooms I kissed her goodbye and went to my room, when I opened the door the girl from the Netherlands came out of the room, I didn't think about it too much back then.

 

NOVEMBER 25th
we woke up at 7:30 and went to eat breakfast in the dining room.
at 8:30 we continued to work on our projects (I have a pic of the production line somewhere)
at 9:30 we met at the reception for a tour in the nearby kibbutz.
we visited the solar tower and mirror field at kibbutz Samar and met one of the engineers there.
at Yotvata we stopped to buy chocolate milk (I bought 1 liter of iced coffee) and then we went to talk about problem solving with two doctors I cant recall the name of right now.
then we went to the ecological village in Lotan, they build houses out of straw and mud and do some other cool things (we also ate lunch there).
at 14:45 we returned to Ketura and continued with our projects.
at 19:30 we went to have Shabbat dinner with the entire kibbutz (they served tongue which personally I really like)
at 21:00 we went back to work on our projects until 24:00
then we sat on the grass for a bit, me and the Czech girl went to make out again and we returned by 3am.
then I just stayed up and goofed around with they Cyprus guy. because its Shabbat they left food in our fridge so we took a look and found around 30 eggs, we checked them, they were all hardboiled so the Cyprus guy put a pan on is head and balanced an egg on the handle, then the egg fell, it was soft. that's how we found ourselves cleaning raw egg off the floor at 4am, after that we decided it was enough and we should go to sleep.

 

Impressed that 3 hours of sleep was enough for you everyday..

November 26th
we woke up at 9:00 and started making breakfast, omelets for everyone thanks to our little experiment.
at 9:45 we went on a tour of the kibbutz (its really nice and friendly there)
at 10:15 we met and worked on our project, turns out a biodiesel production line isn't as effective as we thought, we are starting everything from scratch.
at 13:00 we went to eat lunch at the dining room
at 14:00 we went back and worked on our project a bit more.
at 18:00 we had dinner at the dining room and went to just derp around on the grass.
at 19:00 we went and finished up our projects and presentations until 1am
after 1am we went the grass outside our rooms and just chilled (we also went to the pub for a while), after most people went to sleep me and the Czech girl snuck off again (we bumped into a couple other couples on the way) now I'm pretty sure I shouldn't post any details.
ANYWAYS throwback to the 24th, when I came back to the room I talked with the Cyprus guy and he told me that on the 24th he and the Netherlands girl made out on the sofa but when they decided its time to go to sleep one of the mentors waited outside so he had to go and distract him so in a way he helped me too (thanks KC)
then after I talked to him it turns out my brother and another guy saw me make out with the Czech girl in front of her room, so that was a weird talk...

the grand total of sleep hours while I was in the competition is ~17 hours

 

You seem to go alot to Tel-Aviv, but why dont you go to Jerusalem? Is Haifas your hometown? What are the off the grid towns and cities like?

 

my hometown is nearby Haifa, I actually have a great view to the mountain itself with the golden lights of Haifa and the Baha'i gardens.
mostly when there are country wide events we meet at tel aviv as its easier getting there (via trains or bus) and then a bus picks us up to wherever we are going.
I visit Jerusalem from time to time but I don't really have anything to do there as all of my friends live anywhere but there.
