Welp, I apologise if this has been posted before, but...

How are -ve elemental defences calculated in the case of double negatives?

    (E.g.)
Say, someone has -100 Element A defence.
This player also has -50% Element A defence.
Combining them, we have -100*(1-50%)=-50 Element A defence.

Wouldn't this be an advantage despite the huge % defence debuff?

    Likewise...

Say, someone has -100 Element A defence.
This player also has +50% Element A defence.
Combining them, we have -100*(1+50%)=-150 Element A defence.

Despite the supposed increase in defence, this would further weaken the player.

The above calculations would only be true if the elemental defence in Wynn is calculated in the most basic of ways. How exactly is it calculated, or do these loopholes in calculations actually exist?

    Thanks!

Im guessing %element def first transforms % in raw but ignores the negative on raw so 50% of -100 and 100 would both be 50 then if its +% or -% it adds or subtracts the 50 to the raw total
    So the calculation would be
    raw + or - (ignoring negative raw*%) i guess

Most likely they square the raw elemental defense before doing these calculations then find the root afterwards.

Possible, but they might have a hell of a time calculating anything with over -100% defence ;)
