Music Wynncraft Music Dump B4 Leaving (w/ Some Random Junk Just For Fun)

So hey y'all. This just might be the last thing I post here, so buckle up for a brief history of the stuff I've done over the years. This may not be all in the right order, but there's just too much for me to keep track of anymore (as a wise man once said: "I forgot how it starts" @youngmonster ), so I hope you enjoy :P

I first came on the forums on December 2014 looking to make Noteblock music, since when I first played the server I was like "Wow, this is so fun, and the music's great too, I wonder if they'd like some of mine." So rather blindly and foolishly, I came in, made some Noteblock songs including an Epic Wynn epic-er remix (found at 3:36 of this track: https://soundcloud.com/darthsirius394/epic-wynn-a-1-year-anniversary-compilation) and a few other original songs. I mean, that's what Needlr did, and Salted noticed him that way, so if I did the same thing it should work, right? N00b as I was, I even tried sending Needlr a PM if I could be Noteblock composer.

Of course, nothing came out of that, so I tried a different approach.

Looking through the Your Work section, I saw that @Zookie56 and his story "Epic of Wynn" had gotten mad popular somehow. So back when I still didn't realize that "Lore/story" was just "Wynncraft fanfiction", I started "An Epic in Time", a lore that took me a week or two to make each chapter since 1) I actually put a lot of time and effort into it (here's the latest chapter that I wrote yet didn't release: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TMB6cGRnrWwNKWHzoMrgBU3X5nRKEASuO2SrZOVrOQ8/edit?usp=sharing) and 2) I wrote a full orchestral score for every chapter. Oh yes, each chapter correlated with a soundtrack that gave off the vibes of that chapter. Eventually, the forum wipe came upon us all, and so did any hopes of finishing this story 'cuz it was too much effort for something no one really cared about (except the Mega Lore squad, see below).

Speaking of epic orchestral Wynn, around this time I was fooling with Logic Pro X and found some cool VST libraries like crescendo timpani and staccato brass, so I ended up making this epic orchestral cover of "Nether's Lament" https://soundcloud.com/darthsirius394/nethers-lament-ds-remix-originally-by-needlr which was eventually used in the unofficial pre-Gavel Wynn trailer (also see bel0w).

Around this time, Gavel was coming out (for which I made but never finished a Gavel "Hype Train" song: https://soundcloud.com/darthsirius394/hype-train-wip), and some of you might remember the epic Gavel Content Contest: Whoever had the best piece of content would be included into the Gavel expansion. For that, I wrote a noteblock song much like my composer app called "Gavelic Hymnsong":

In the end, few people cared about that either, 'cuz no one likes musical sophistication with noteblocks :/ While in the end the winning entry was really cool (something about boss mechanics or whatnot), one of the runners up was a freakin' full blown orchestral piece, but like seriously how would you incorporate that into Wynncraft without breaking EULA :/

So once again, a major source of attention had come and gone, and I was desperate for notice again. I looked around for what to do, and that's when I noticed @jangddol and his piano covers of Wynncraft songs that had gotten mad popular. I thought "Hey, I could do something like that, maybe improve a little bit on it", so that's when I started my era of piano covers. At first they were ehh-quality recordings like with Nemract (), Epic Wynn ( w/ sheet music https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1RmRwKRXmElTDF0bEw0M2lpbmc/view?usp=sharing), and Stormy Seas of Epicness ( w/ sheet music: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4bCORYT0d3GNmtuZjh4Q1RtNWc/view?usp=sharing). However, then I found out how to record a keyboard's MIDI into Logic, and thus my first true "bestseller", Nether's Lament HD Piano Cover was born (). Eventually, I got a challenge for @KeytarAshes (along with a few other people) to make a piano cover of the Bob's Reincarnation BGM before he reached Lv. 75 (back before Lv. 100 was a thing XD). Then @StarFiesh challenged me to make a dubstep remix of Bob's Reincarnation... which I did... twice:

Took me about 6 months to fully realize the song, with the rock, EDM, orchestral, and of course dubstep segments all mixed in there, and in the end that became my first legit dubstep song. Sadly, it wasn't mixed well enough to be featured on any major music promo channels, and Logic Pro X updated just after I finished it, messing up most of the synths, so I can't go back and rework it :(

So yeah, that's basically it. After Bob's Reincarnation people just started forgetting that I existed... well, except for one PM from Salted asking if he could use the Bob's Dubstep in a Wynncraft trailer, but I still haven't seen if that trailer exists yet. Of course, there was my composer app, which was my one chance to realize my 2-year dream, but that also didn't get me where I wanted to :/

Well, thanks for being such a core part of the your work community in music. I enjoyed your piano music quite a bit, and there's a sweet resonance and DS flair that accompanies each of your songs! I'm sure the community and I will miss you. So good luck to all of your future endeavors, whether they relate to music or not :)

I just listened to Gavelic Hymnsong for the first time and I honestly want to cry because it's so good. I love the song you made for your composer application and all your covers and everything. I even enjoyed listening to your dubstep, and I'm not a fan of dubstep. I've looked up to you for a long time and seeing your work it almost seems like me getting composer was a mere fluke. You're work is so amazing and it would break my heart to see you leave, we don't have many composers here and you're one of the best I've seen, ever.
I wish we both could have been composers for the server...
...but I'll do my best.

I don't know if you even come on here anymore, but if you do, I sincerely hope you decide to stay.
