    Hello,

I currently use the Maelstrom, and its a pretty damn good bow, however I'm trying to make it even better with a more DPS based (spell spam) build, and I need some help building it.

I'm only level 70, but any Lv 70-85 suggestions are fine, as I want to work towards the ideal.

    I currently use:
    - Spectre Helm
    - Millennium
    - Crystal
    - Sodeta Boots ( I have a Passus Lux, not 73 though)

Accessories: ( I need alot more help here, and I'm not sure Jester is the best option)
    - Ring Of Generosity.

So yeah, any help, especially accessories, would be appreciated.

Ooh ooh ooh I have an idea
This is a thunder build that uses Spiritshock main and Maelstrom side, for level 85 and under
I think it would be cool because mana steal and regen, and also life steal

    Executioner Helmet
    Screech
    Crystal or Static Charged leggings
    Ventus Tail
Barrages maybe? Probably some more mana regen could be good here
    Sinister
    Charm of the Vampire

If you get good stats, that's 500 life steal, 500+ poison, 5/4 mana steal and 3/4 mana regen, along with plenty of thunder and spell damage.

I've been running Morph Set as the source of my core bonuses... Then adding whatever slots are open with items that have spell damage, Hlth & Mana Regen.

So the range of bonuses you get from the Morph Set assuming you have all the items your level would allow you to equip:

    upload_2016-12-1_10-33-42.png

The main thing you get from the set is an average of 20 skill points per skill (~100 free Skill Points) which makes it easier to cover the req'd skill levels needed to use your chosen equipment. And it lets you focus the skill points earned for your level on the skill(s)/element(s) that you desire.

This leaves you your Breast Plate, Helm and one ring slot to tailor your bonuses to focus on Spell damage and the three elements your Bow is dealing (Air, Water & Thunder).

Current Favorite non-morph Items (from the help Items page):

    Ring: Malachite
    • ❉ Water Defense: -30
    • ✦ Thunder Defense: 20
    • ✤ Earth Defense: 20
    • Lv. Min : 75
    • Strength Min: 10
    • Dexterity Min: 10
    • +1 to 3 Strength
    • +1 to 3 Dexterity
    • +9 to 39 Spell Damage
    • +2 to 8 Melee Damage
    • Unique Item
The Malachite is easier to find than rare or legendary rings, but the potential bonuses for raw damage for both types of attack is quite good for an accessory.

Chest: I would stick with the Millennium for now. Spell damage and Health Regen are the main draw and the added skill bonuses are good for everything. Once I hit 75, I went with the Morph Breastplate for the 4-10 additional skill points per skill and +2750 Health. But if I had found a Millennium before that I might have had a harder decision.

Helmet: I have no idea... I've been testing things out as I find them. Sometimes I go for regen bonuses, other times I try for spell/melee damage boosts. With the Maelstrom, you get some damage boosts but no regen boosts so I tend toward that when using that bow, but now I've graduated to a Clairvoyance and Spiritshock bows which both have mana steal so I tend to focus on health regen and damage boosts. Nothing is super effective, but anything is better than nothing. :-)

As always, your mileage may vary.
