A few weeks ago i posted a small Island thing
most people said i should practice with some custom trees altough after some time i got some struggles ( even after watching grian's vid ) so i decided to stop with custom trees and starting to build a mediƫval house
i saw a house in one of grian vids and decided to make it bigger and better what i think, Please rate the tree and the house and leave tips and advice!

    Thanks

The "roof" made of Wood could use some more detail but other than that great build :D

U need a lot of more practice building. The over hang is very flat. The walls are very bland. Y is 1 side of the fence more broken than the other? The ground is very flat try adding some hills and water features around the lake. Speaking of the lake its very shallow for its size. Also try adding some lily pads and sand spots and sugar cane around it. Since the roof is cobble make it look a bit more broken by adding some cobble walls and cobble stairs to add some indents where the whole cobblestones are. The roof is very flat. Try making it more natural by having it slope down. Also with so many flowers everywhere but not much other detail it looks quite strange either make sections specifically for flowers where elevations increase steadily or add some trees. Now about the tree. The base is way to thin for the size of tree. Also trees have many more leaves than youve put on the tree. Lastly make the leaves sag in certain areas. Good luck and please take my criticism into consideration.

This looks like it's bordering on the cliff house style I made for Grian
    Is that where it's from? :o It's a cute concept ^-^

It's pretty neat as a whole! All I can comment on is the trees. While they're way better than my old trees, a couple things you can try for is: way more leaves! Try looking at a tree in real life and compare it's visible trunk to the amount of leaves it has. (Quite shocking isn't it?)
6 sided logs (in this case the id would be 17:12) if you have world edit available.
Extras: If you really want to step it up a notch, you can add a few spruce fences to make them look like branches in the tree! Lastly, (this doesn't work for some server's world edit) you can add some grass (31:1) on the tree to give it some shape and an appearance of poofy. To easily do this, place some spring on the tree where you think grass might compliment the tree giving it shape. Then, standing next to it, execute this command: //replacenear 10 19 31:1

Your build is a good start, however it could use much more detail. It's very obvious that you don't have worldedit or voxel, and I'd love to spend some time with you teaching you the basics of these essential plugins. They will improve your builds and terrain by tenfold, as well as save you sooo much time when you're making symmetrical builds like you have done. Throw me a message!!

No, it was from the building with terrain video, grian made a smaller version without the tower.

Thanks for the advice, the only thing is if i look at a tree in real life right now i dont see any leaves :P

The terrain/environment doesnt fit at all...

The house doesnt really follow the pallet of the terrain, the house looks more urban than rural. Try using tgr following materials: Wood (Oak and Spruce), Green stained clay, Lime stained clay, Oak log, and Cobblestone

    Options:
1: Change the pallet of the house
2: Change the environment around the house to an urban style

    Terrain:
-If you dont wanna change the environment to an urban setting, add steeper hills, more trees, a haystack, bushes, a farm, and cut logs so the terrain doesnt look bland
    ________________________________
Also detail the roof on the stable....it looks flat as hell

Replace the stable roof with hay and make it look messy. Add yellow carpet and birch slabs on the stable roof to
    OR
Make the roof look more messy
    ________________________________
Make the tree look better to...
Add a thicker body to the tree
    Add more branches

If you meant an oak tree, only cover the tips of the branches. Or just cheat with world edit. There should be many tutorials on Youtube on how to make trees

It's good, but it's a bit too perfect. Dont, be afraid to let your mind wander in your builds, or see some variation here and there.

Try giving the trees a bit more structure and shape. The height of your current trees should have thicker trunks to compensate for it
