Item Bomb...

"Everybody gets 2 random items!"

I know, I failed counting too... o-o
Thats the first time I got 3 items btw, not sure if it's a bug or something

 

Nah, this just happens sometimes if you're lucky.

 

I've had a case where I received three items from an item bomb rather than just two. I've even heard that some people have gotten four items...

It's fairly rare though, so I think it might be put in there intentionally. The case has been recorded several times by multiple players, and if it was a bug they would have fixed it in one of their recent bug fixes. It might be a special occurrence where you have a certain chance to get 3+ items rather than the certain 2 items.

I would consider yourself lucky if you get 3+ items. It gives you either 1) more items or 2) more emeralds from the item buyer.
