Can someone please explain to me a few of these things.

1: Are loot chests affected by loot bonus ?
2: Do loot chests give better loot the longer their not opened ?
3: THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART
If your level 100 and your opening loot chests in an area for lvl 80 can you get lvl 80 legendary items
4 do you get better loot if your closer to the level of the loot chests

    3. Sometimes, I've gotten a couple level 90 items on the Emerald Trail.
    4. Yes, but the loot chest does not have a level; it's contents depend on the mobs around them.

I got the information from the community and slowly finding things out. Also I've never heard of loot chests containing better loot if they're left alone for longer.

Whats inside of a lootchest is bases on the mobs around and if there are none around then its based on your level

They do, I found all my mythics when the servers were near restart, and I usually find 3x more legendaries at certain times (right before a restart)

    4. Yes (from experience)

1 and 2 are no-brainers, 3 is a yes since I recently got a post ultima (lvl70ish legendary legging) and a clairvoyance in a 60-70 area as a lvl100 archer. 4 I think is a yes since I usually got much more loot from chests that contain higher level items.

I've been looting for over a year and this comment section is completely messed up so I'll explain looting from my experiences

    1. yes, its been confirmed by salted that loot bonus does effect chests, I'm not sure how though
    2. yes, the longer a chest hasn't been touched, the more slots that are taken up in the chest, if you loot a chest that hasn't been opened once while the server is restarting in 10 minutes, you are sure to get 15-27 slots filled
    3. chests are effected by your level, but will be overridden by mobs in the area. If there is a level 37 mob near a chest for example, you will find items near the mobs level, not yours.
    4. I'm not 100% sure what you meant by that question, if you mean "am i more likely to find a legendary in a level 100 chest as i am in a level 40 chest" then the answer is no, chances of rarities remain the same no matter what level of items are in the chest

If there are any other things you need to know about loot running feel free to ask

Seems to be a lot of conflicting answers.
I am not so sure about #1 honestly.
    #2 yes they do that.
#3 If there are mobs in the area it will be the same level as them, if there are no mobs then it will match your level.
#4 If the mobs are far from your level you will not get as good loot, and you might end up getting nothing.

It is best to get chests from your level range or if they have no mobs around them.

I am also going to close this thread as there are a lot of answers here that OP can use.
