This Is A Common Question

Hai, im just wondering:

Why is my texture pack broken?

Sooo....

Whenever I go on version 1.9 or higher, it seems that the grass texture is always broken.

(Sorry no Screenshots)

So, it leaves me no choice to go back to 1.8.9 but I won't be able to see the new skins for the weapons.

Ive tried deleting the resource packs - didn't work

But I use forge with Optifine and Xaeros Minimap mod...

Which makes me wonder if Optifine has something to do with this.

In the legacy file there is a file for tall grass. I heard this problem can be solved by deleting that specific file.

xD Do I turn it into a zip, look for the file and delete it and somehow turn it back into a thing file?

 

I think you can just open it with Winrar or 7zip or whatever you are using for zip-files, but I can test it in a few minutes if you want.

I already asked about using minimaps :)
I'm allowed as long as certain features are off such as 'Display Players' and stuff that can make you cheat :)

Hmm it didn't work? Well right now I don't know other options to use the minimap. :/

 

Like how do you delete the tall grass file in .zip and changing it back cuz it downloaded a new pack

 

So you are not able to edit the legacy file as it is? You need to convert it first? I think I'll look at it after school.
