Just When You Think You've Seen Enough Ana-level-ism

Yeah pretty much that.

Often I heard people say how unwise, how illogical, how wasteful people can be coming to freezing heights when they're only lvl 80 or so.
Sure, they got a point. If you're not even-leveled as the monsters, you need more time to grind, face more dangers, and get less experience in return. However, sometimes, like the vacuum period between ToL and FH, you just have nowhere else to grind, just like my lvl83 Archer.

But things are always more than that, more than what you would expect.

Jesus Christ, there was a lvl 47 Archer with gold and chain armor mixed, running between a bunch of lvl 90 Diamond-Armored mobs, picking up all these Emeralds and Gears I grind-ed out and left on the ground.

Well, back in the first few trips to FH where I'm still wearing that lvl-70-ish build, one hit, two hit, and you're done. Dead. Fragile like glass. Of course, with cosmic armor after I finally got my lazy bones to do ???, it became much better, but, like, in lvl 70 outfits, I still have 5000 Health.
How much health do you guys think a lvl 50 should have? Well, 2000-3000, that's a decent guess.
So, simple maths here. One hit, one hit and he'd probably be gone.
And he's just there, running and jumping and doing all these silly things in a place some lvl 47 should never have come.

Yeah, sure, my record is a lvl 35 in Cinfras. Impressive somehow, right?
And, lvl1 in Troms. Yes, I've seen that lvl 1 Ninja in the bank of Troms. Somehow he managed to dodge all those jungle fetishes.
But Freezing Heights, or Molten Heights in general, is just a bit too different. Flowing lava are every where, random ranged mobs on the road, not to mention those twists of the great Canyon of the Lost guarding the entrance to the Heights.
So how'd he get there? I have no idea. I am just too busy to escape to safety and ask.
But he managed to do it anyway. The seemingly impossible feat for a lvl 47 to come all the way from distant Nesaak or somewhere around to Rodoroc and beyond.

For the first time in my life, I have started to admire this random intruder of my happy little grind.


TL;DR: There was a lvl 47 in Freezing Heights grinding with me.

 

As long as they are willing to stay peaceful towards you, I don't see that as a problem. It's the people who want to claim Freezing Heights as their own (which has thankfully decreased since dxp and totems arrived).

Still, the only sad part is that while it showed courage and skill of him to get there, the only benefit he'll get is that pride and the few emeralds he'll sell the overleveled gear for. But hey, that's his choice, and I'm glad you see a bit of admiration.

There's other Lv 80 grind spots aside from the freezing heights. There's the Hive outskirts and tunnels for Lv 80-85 or so, there's the Fire Spring for Lv 83-88, and plenty of spots in the Molten Heights for Lv 85+ aside from the Freezing Heights.

Depending on your build, grinding the Harpies on the paths between Thesead and Eltom may also be a good option due to the high spawnrate, decent xp, and huge thunder weakness.

My record is level 24 at Amsord... hehbehehehe. Actually i'm in the molten heights with a level 57 warrior, not bad right? Well in rodoroc u can find a lot of chests (2 of them tier3). Is not hard go to troms with a level 1 (except the part of the great bridge), whatever you have to do is just walking on the map borders

@Upixel when we first met eachother I helped you get to Ahmsord at like level 20, remember that? :^)

 

Going through Jofash is weak.

Real men go from Llevigar through Kander Forest to Canyon of the Lost to Rodoroc.

(IMO the Canyon of the Lost is easy for me to navigate)

 

Hmmm... Maybe I've tried, but haven't heard of the names. I used to grind in Thanos outskirts with my mage, but with all the ranged mobs, my archer can't really get comfortable with 0 health regen. I'll try when I finally got the interest to get my warrior to those levels :P
