Temple Of Legends

So..

I'm currently doing the ToL quest on my archer, and I'm at the part where you go to purify the light dust on mage island.
Anyways, I'm trying to get the 12 sky vapor, but whenever I go near the cave with the sky flux, which I need to kill, I lag. To add to the painfulness, every time I left or right click, my game freezes for 5 seconds.
These two combined form practically no chance of me getting the 12 sky vapor. I need to somehow fix this so I can complete the quest, anyone know how to fix it?

 

Do you have optifine?

 

Try installing Optifine and setting your graphics as low as possible. I have also heard switching your version to 1.8.9 reduces lag.

My best bet for combat against the Sky Flux would be to shoot bomb arrows far from the cave. That way, you do tons of damage with a limited risk of lagging out/getting killed.
