First off, let me tell you what I consider to be a ‘secondary’ skill.

Let’s say you are focused around one primary element. And ALL of your equipment is already chosen, around that one element.

This means that you still got 100 skill points (If you’re lvl 101) you can spend and you can choose what element(s) you’ll put those into.

Now: For the sake of simplicity during this thread I’ll be assuming that you’re on of the people that think that the best way to distribute your skill points is to max dat shit out. So THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE other than your main element.

This is also the reason I’m calling it a secondary skill and not a secondary element. You’re doing this purely for what the skill points do.

    Let's start simple:
Intelligence isn't a good secondary skill because first off: not all skill points you put into it will do anything useful, specifically above 68 skill points, you're only gonna get 2 or 3 more upgrades for your spells. This skill is also pretty bad without good ways of replenishing mana. + if you've got an armor set based around a skill that's not intelligence, there's a real high chance it's melee and your spells won't do much damage anyway.

    than ima start some controversy

I'm not talking about defense as in the skill defense, I'm talking about defense as in defence.

let's say we got 2 zombies that fight and both hit at the same time.
They both have 100HP and hit for 20 HP each hit. (no regen, hit once a second)
after 5 seconds they would both die.

now imagine that one has +50% more power, granting him blows of 30HP each hit.
Whilst the other one gain +50% more hp, granting him a total of 150 HP total
They'd still both die after 5 seconds, the matches would still be equal.

Now imagine them both against the first zombie.

the tanky one will survive with 50 HP
the offensive one will survive with 20 HP

If they would both fight AFTER they fought the first zombie, the tanky one would win, with 20 HP left.

Following this logic in wynn, I can rule out strength and dexterity as the best secondary skill.

after which I'll shut out people who're still defensive and feel offended.

    simple.
Turns out that defense doesn't actually block elemental damage, whilst agility has a chance to reflect it.
And on neutral damage, they're equal.

    AGILITY

PS: I'm not gonna be forcing any of you to use agi or whatever, I just decided I'd shar my logic with you.
(If I came in the situation of a build focused around one skill I'd evenly spread my points into all skills except int anyway. (I'd stop at the closest upgrade, for intel.)

One more cool fact about skill points:
Using two offensive stats make the stats stack way worse; dexterity's crits won't get strength's bonus damage.

I wouldn't call that worse though. It just does the same thing.
But yeah. (as long as you don't count intelligence as an offensive skill, that is. Which I do.)

In a way, defense + agility is actually worse.

If you got +70% damage from strength and +70% double damage chance from dexterity, you'll still get that +70% from strength.
    meaning that on average you'll deal 170% + 70% = 240% damage = 140% extra damage

If you have -70% damage taken from defense and +70% dodge chance from agility, the defense will only block 70% of that remaining 30%, aka: 21/100%
that + the 70% from agility = 91% less damage taken

But, people think that damage reduction is better than that extra damage. (And I agree with those people.)

Depends on whether you use more spells or more melee, but whatever you do, DON'T USE DEFENSE. I mainly use air + water or air + earth but air + thunder is also good

I'd probably use water+thunder, just because of the sheer fact there are so many good items for that skill point combination. Booster Plate, Ventus Tail, Boreal-Patterned Aegis, to name a few.
Intelligence is easily the best skill imo, because with high int you can cast all day and you won't even need high mana regen. You'll just need to cast different spells so the mana counter won't go up, and ANY class will do with 4-10 mana regen. Anything above that is a waste from my experience, but this requires high intelligence to work.

Agreed. A mage with 100< int and only 2/4 mana can still be devastating in my experience
