SPOILER Flarelings: New Way To Obtain Powders

So, basically, I was grabbing a few chests around Rodoroc, when I came upon these:

When I killed them, they dropped what look like ink sacs:

Yet, when I picked them up, they turned(in my inventory) into powders of their corresponding element(see first picture):

I've already killed a few, and I've gotten 2 tier 3 powders(half a t4/32 eb) in a few minutes.
Now, I have no idea if they can drop t4+ powders or generally where they spawn(my guess is caves like the one I was in in the picture). And, well I guess that is all(If there has already been a thread about this then I didn't see it, forgive me please)

An alternative to grind powders. Makes me think of the suspicious crates

 

Can't wait to hear about the nerf... seems overpowered...

 

Yeah, and if these can drop t4+ powders then powder prices are likely gonna drop a bit, all the better for the majority of wynncraft players

To be fair, they spawned a bit when I first entered the cave and then seemed to just stop spawning after I killed the first few

 

Hmm... odd...

 

They spawn rarely about the heights. They can drop any tier of their respective powder, from 1-4. They are already extremely rarely-spawning, at a 0.1% chance, with no respawn.

 

Then I guess I was lucky to have 5 in the same cave?

 

Ridiculously so. They're extremely experimental and subject to nerfage if necessary...

 

I think the playerbase ran out of luck after this, and it won't happen again for a while lol

If luck is shared throughout the player base then now I know why I never get mythics

 

I just found a bunch of them, and they were respawning, had to leave because my inventory was full of powders. This definitely needs a nerf

 

Yea, these flarelings have been added to the recent update and they are a great, and I mean GREAT source of powders.

From what I know, they drop powders 1-4 corresponding to what element they were (a fire flareling will drop fire powder) and they spawn anywhere in Molten Heights, though I have seen them spawn mostly in the Magma Entity cave.

I love them, great addition to the game.

 

Yeah, next patch will reduce their spawn rates and powder drop chances(though they're still practically guaranteed to drop at least one).

Their previous chances were:
T1: 8000/10000
T2: 5000/10000
T3: 2000/10000
T4: 1000/10000

Their new chances will be:
T1: 7000/10000
T2: 4000/10000
T3: 1000/10000
T4: 250/10000

The seem to spawn more in certain grind spots, and they only drop all 4 powders if you get extremely lucky.

 

I noticed that too

 

They have horrible spawn rate tho
