Someone Fill Me In Please

I started playing Wynncraft in 2013, I found out about it through Dungeon Realms. I played this quite a bit but then stopped playing in 2014 I think, now I came back on this server for a little while and I have no idea whats going on, I have this texture pack which i'm not a big fan of and the identifying stuff is so different to what it used to be, I have a diamond chestplate which i cant identify and people are telling me that my stuff can't be farmed anymore. Can someone please tell me what happened in the time I didn't play?

 

Nothing really happened except the game is almost 2000 blocks bigger and is completely revamped.

Basically, an update came out that revamped the item system, so you now must re-identify stuff (It's cheaper now though!) And hopefully you'll get used to the texture pack, you can disable it but an infuriating message pops up if you don't have it on (sadly). And the diamond chest plate is part of a bug that recently surfaced. Do you have money, if so you can buy a temporary normal chest plate and you should be fine, items are actually very easy to farm now.

Basically the map is 3000 blocks bigger with a new province, new quests bosses mechanic and 3000 new items plus airships relics powders specials boss altars and a shit ton more

 

I don't understand what this new identifying stuff is
like the water & thunder def. I understand the mana & health regen / steal & xp bonus but thats about it

Anyway, welcome back. Trust me that the update isn't THAT hard to understand. :)

 

Mobs have received a lot of changes, one of them is elements. Certain enemies deal "elemental damage", for example if a zombie has a yellow symbol next to the word "dam" above its head, then it deals thunder damage. If you have thunder defense on your armor, then you take less damage from the zombie. Mobs also have elemental defense and weakness too, which goes in part with certain weapons that deal elemental damage. For example, the wand "Ethereal", mostly does water damage now, so it's weak against mobs with water def.

 

Strength = Earth
Dexterity = Thunder
Intelligence = Water
Defense = Fire
Agility = Air

Water would be a good element to focus on as a mage (for example) because you'll need high intelligence etc

 

One more thing that I suggest to most returning players; try starting a new class, starting from scratch does a great job of slowly teaching you all of the features, especially the new item system.

Well, it's not very complicated. You just regenerate X amount of mana per 4 seconds, it pretty much says in the ID itself.

What items are you talking about?

 

You should have started in a spawn room where you could re-id stuff and whatnot.

If it's an item that is physically not obtainable anymore, I would suggest selling it for HIGH price. You now have unobtainable collectors items.
