It seems you guys wanted to see some of Drakvir, one of the desert islands of Aerium. So here is some concept art of the Craggy Desert of South-Western Drakvir.Enjoy!

The craggy desert they call it. These inhospitable lands of South-West Drakvir
are dominated by towering rock faces which give the area's name its backbone.
Very few living things can withstand the harsh environment present here.
Although, there are some creatures capable, they are very dangerous to the novice adventurer.

Also, I started using more reference for my paintings. I think it helps a lot, although, the foreground in this piece is a little off.

I love the unique feel of the desert! An alien landscape with a feeling of home. I can't wait to see how your comic turns out, if you keep this level of art up you could make it big!

Thanks for the support. Right now, all of these pictures are just concepts for what could be. (They may not even be shown in the comic) Just creating some type of lore to buildup the world with.
As of art, I don't really know what type of style I'm going for. This painterly style might not fit very well in a web comic.

 

Oh yes it can! A lot of http://dresdencodak.com had a painterly style. I can think of a few other comics with very impressive art, but I can't necessarily remember their names...

Try out a few panels with your style, and see if it feels right for you. I think you might be surprised.
