Sort Of Question - I Need To Know

Ive been loosing love for assassin as it kinda isn't as good as the other classes for doing stuff. Im also pretty sure more high level people main mage than any other class, case and point last time i did Qira everyone but me was a mage all 28 people who were high level were mages. This isn't just cause heal is awesome but teleport and metoer are op. Oyr has a secret build that can do 24k metoers and here I am barely doing 6k using my most powerful single move spin attack. Archer has so many awesome things and so does warrior and they all do more dmg than assassin. What I am saying is can someone please inspire me to believing that assassin is still good and fun and not underpowered.

Assassin is for the Veterans who can use it.
If you are actually skilled enough, you can make an assassin that is an absolute MONSTER.
Mage is good for spells.
Archer is good for speed
Warrior is good for tanking

Warrior is better with Tanking
Mage is better with Spells
Assassin CAN be as good as archer with speed
Assassin CAN be as good as warrior with tanking
Assassin CAN be as good as mage with spells

 

Not all at once, and it cannot be better at tanking or speed, it just doesn't have the wespons warrior and archer have respectively that really let those aspects of the classes shine.

In all fairness I could probably pull off 24k with a spell damage Gaia build glass cannon

 

despite the existence of that C.I. Pit weapon, there won't be much in terms of high speed alongside high spell power for assassins otherwise
and tanky assassin seems a bit torturous imo

 

Actually Assassins are VERY good at dealing sustained dps, as compared to archers. Archers can do what assassin can as well, but assassins can do it for longer, with more bulk, and powerful DoT with smoke bomb and multihit. They also have probably the best stun in the game, the ability to shift the direction of the fight, and the ability to temporality lock down an area. Even using a walk speed assassin, I still out-damage all of the other party members, unless there happens to be another assassin in the group (damn you sanae).

Not to mention a raw spell damage assassin is a monster with muntihits.

cataclysm for straight DPS, which can be utilized exetremely well with vanish to deal high DPS while avoiding aggro
Nirvana for raw spell damage to buff multihit and smoke bomb to pretty insane levels
Grimtrap for high lifesteal and poison, AND thorns to be that dick that no one likes
slider for high walkspeed with good raw spell damage and dps, as well as good mana recovery with mana steal

It doesn't need to be good at tanking or speed; it's supposed to be a damage dealer with better survivability than an archer, with the trade-off of less range. And it does that job well.

Assassing is good for "All of ���������"(according to your binary)

 

Oyr needs to have rage (meaning he has to have low health) to do damage.

 

But as a mage within seconds he is back at full health where other classes have to either run away and switch to a potion and drink it once or twice and if its gone get a new potion out. compare 2 seconds of mage heal to the inventory full struggles of potions

 

just wondering. is a thunder/ water assassin good? i want decent mana regen and damage

You can think of it like this:
Mage: most the time gives you little to no challenge
Assasin: Most the time gives you a challenge in higher levels
