Can't Add The Server

My friend has been trying to add the server for a while, but they keep being denied. Another friend was able to join just fine earlier. What is the issue?

 

Are they using play.wynncraft.com? Is their internet horrible?

 

Make sure you're playing on Minecraft 1.8.9 and are using the IP "play.wynncraft.com" and have set resource packs as enabled. Also, you need a Minecraft account to use multiplayer servers, in other words, if your friend is using a cracked version, they will not be able to join.

 

are you sure thats the right version? It says that its version 1.10, which is what i am using. As for their game, they bought theirs. Its legit.

 

Anything between 1.8 and 1.10 works, but 1.8.9 is the most stable version to use while playing Wynncraft. You can switch back to 1.8.9 from 1.10 with no risk of damage to your character data if you want to.

 

They are indeed using that. They had a server restart but i can connect just fine right now.

 

Also, I just looked in my servers, I actually have "play.wynncraft.org" written, and that still works to connect me. Try that, maybe it will work if "play.wynncraft.com" doesn't.

Can they enter a lobby or are they not able to enter at all? What message do they get when they get disconnected?

 

COuld it be that she has not migrated her account yet? She has not played for about two years.

 

That could be, they should do that before trying to do anything else, as unmigrated accounts are a legacy feature and aren't fully supported.

 

They jsut keep being denied access when trying to add the server. Theya lso tried the .org and still are being denied.

 

What message do they receive when they are denied?

 

"failed to connect to the server
java.net.SocketExection: Permission denied: no further information"

 

Well, that's not a very helpful error message. Guess try migrating the account and see if your friend can join after that.

 

Their account has been migrated and it still won't work. They are gonna try updating java next. Andyeah this is... an odd error.

 

Had the same error before... Backup all saves, screenshots and stuff and delete whole .minecraft folder. There is a file missing...

 

How do you get the missing file back?

 

Delete whole .mimecraft and open the launcher again. It will create new files.

 

Nope. Still didn;t work. =(

They were able to join a different server. Maybe there is an issue going on rn with wynncraft servers that some how messes them up.
