Yuno's Easy Recipes #2 English Cake

Hello and welcome back to my cooking thread.
Today I'll teach you how to make an english cake.
You will need:
200g butter, softened
1.5 cups of sugar
4 eggs
3 cups of self raising flour
1 cup of milk
2 table spoons of brandy (cognac also works)
Walnuts/raisins/chocolate chips/apple cubes

2 english cake pans
An oven
Food processor/mixer (or you can mix it by hand)

Step 1:
Pre heat the oven to 180c (all you Americans can go convert yourselves)
Step 2:
Put the butter and sugar in the food processor and mix until it turns into a smooth-ish bright mixture
Step 3:
Gradually add the rest of the ingredients while mixing until receiving a smooth mixture (which tastes really good btw)
Step 4:
Split the mixture between the two cake pans (oil them beforehand) evenly and bake for ~40 minutes
You'll know your cake is done when you put a toothpick through the cake and it comes out dry.

Make sure you have all the ingredients before you start baking.
