Max Render Distance?

whats the max render distance on this server? i cant see past 8 chunks, i dont know if its something with my mc or just the server. thanks

 

The server has a set render distance, however do not know the exact distance.

 

I'm pretty sure it's 12.

wait, how can my pc affect how far can i see? and i pumped up my render distance all the way to 12, and still see the render of 6-7 chunks

 

Maybe you have a bad one? I don't know.

 

hold on, your pc can affect how far you can see? im using a shitty 3 year old laptop, but i was always able to see way past 7 chunks, this only happened recently, a few months ago

I'm not in any means a computer guy, but I'd guess your graphics card.

Might wanna research that though
