Complaint About Players Pushing Others To Death Areas...

Hello,

Just recently this week I was in Cinfras doing something. I went to look at the forums and then came back to find a player pushing me towards the Light Forest entrance of Cinfras. He claimed he was going to push me to Charlie "just for fun", but I think he was going to push me out of Cinfras and into the area with the animated water and mermaids.

Now, I was aware something was going on in the background, and even if he succeeded in pushing me into a death area, I would have heard hitting sounds and would have minimized my browser. My complaint here is for the people who are truly afk and left the game on in a city with the intention of going back once they were back. To me, this seems on line with player made invasions, with the only intention to kill afk players.

I know that this is a 1.9+ issue and the server is based on 1.8.9, but that doesn't mean everyone will play 1.8.9. And, I know /class will "secure" your player, but 1) not everyone knows that and 2) it screws up looting by resetting loot chest cooldowns. Personally, there should be a rule that players cannot push others into a death area with the only intention of killing them. Doing this will most likely reduce the amount of "lost item" issues on the server.

This is just a small complaint, but if this needs to be moved feel free to move it to the appropriate location.

Solution: find a better afk spot
Try find a 1x1x1 hole

 

That is a solution to the issue, but there may be cases where 1x1x1 holes don't exist in the area. Also, some players don't think about being secure while afk.

I don't see this issue happen often, and even when I get pushed I am aware that someone is doing it. I'm mainly concerned about less aware players, such as young children who don't focus a lot on trying to find the ideal afk spot.

Well, they should stop because of multiple reasons.
The texture pack gets weird, horses don't work, and it's all around laggier and more glitchy. I think most people will notice a change versions anyway.

This needs to happen. I cannot count the amount of times I've come back from the bathroom drowning, or getting raped by mobs

Okay I was the one who pushed you, Charlie is within Cinfras and is not in an area hostile mobs spawn except the friendly clown who can spawn anywhere in Cinfras. And I swear, I was not going to push you to your death. Charlie is the NPC at the light forest gate.

 

A room that you get teleported to when afk for long enough would be nice
A good place to afk in cinfras would be the banks tower though

 

Even if a rule is created, do you really think dicks like that guy are going to follow it? Just find a better AFK spot...

 

Does this not fall under the player made invasions rule? I would think it ought to.

 

I still have no idea why a 1.8.9 server integrates a 1.9+ mechanic though. Everything else, regardless of version, is related to 1.8.

JuicedBananas, in regards to the incident I am not saying you did anything. If you think I was attacking you, I'm not. I'm just trying to bring up a point that utilizes the method you were using to push me. Still, there are crueler people out there who will push others to their death and result in lost items. If I offended you or hurt you in any way, I'm sorry.

And, I do agree that they need to add a command or a room where an afk player can go since not everyone will understand the /class trick. This especially is important for newer or younger players who have less knowledge of this. The last thing we need is our player base being destroyed by a bunch of afk killers.

I just don't want to be banned or something because I was messing around. Hope you understand. And I totally agree pushing should be disabled, Minecraft literally has a built in gamerule to remove it.

 

Mmhm I saw someone pushing a player into the lava in Rodoroc.

 

I once pushed someone all the way from detlas to the upper story in that cow-dude's house
