Guide How To Remove The Wynnpack And Pop Ups

So as you know a lot of people are having frame rate problems with the server resource pack. This is a brief guide on how to disable it and stop the in game pop ups that spam you with warnings. I'm sorry if someone already has posted about this method and I'm stealing there thunder but I did a quick search and was unable to find a solution. So anyway, lets get into it...

1. Open the 'Multiplayer' menu
2. Click to select the 'Wynncraft' server
3. Click edit
4. Click through the 'Server Resource Packs:' option until it says 'Enabled'
5. Click done
6. Join the 'Wynncraft' server
7. Right click the compass and connect a world (preferably one with little lag)
8. Wait for the resource pack to download and then quit minecraft
9. Open your 'minecraft' folder (Windows: Open start, type '%appdata%', click enter and open the '.minecraft folder. Mac: open '~/Library/Application Support/minecraft' in your Finder's menu. Linux: anyone using Linux is too alty to not know how to find the minecraft folder.
10. Open the 'server-resource-packs' folder
11. Locate the Wynncraft file (usually called 'legacy' or some random letters)
12. Rename the file with a '.zip' at the end or any other file compressor
13. Open the folder (It should contain: asstes, pack.mcmeta and pack.png. If it doesn't, you've made a mistake)
14. Open 'assets' and then 'minecraft'
15. Delete everything in the folder (blockstates, lang, models, sounds, textures, sound.json)
16. Back out of the pack files to the 'server-resource-packs' folder
17. Rename the file again, removing the '.zip' (If you get a warning saying that this file may not be usable if you rename it, just ignore it)
18. When you next play Wynncraft, click yes when the server resource pack prompt appears

Congratulations, you just removed the Wynncraft resource pack. You can now play lag free.
If you are feeling frisky and you know your way around a resource pack you can copy legacy.zip and use it as a regular pack on Wynncraft to remove the loading time or only delete some of the files in the pack or edit them.

Anyway, I hope that helped remove some lag from your game. If lag persists try using Optifine, change your video settings or use alternate servers play.wynncraft.net or node7.wynncraft.com .

PS. I know a lot of people hate the texture pack (me included) but just remember that the devs are only trying to make the game more emersive for us and remember that they are human too before you write an angry complaint.

how can the resource pack lag if it's pixel resolution is the same as the normal minecraft (16x16)??

 

To make different textures for the same block in wynncraft (eg. all bows = bedrock), the pack uses the blocks 'blockstate' .json file to create another variable (like how wood has 6 variables for each texture). Then the pack remodels the default bedrock variable model to a 3d bow shape (though it may look 2d, it is actually a block). For some people's cpu and gpu, it is just too much to handle. It is not so much a case of resolution. but models.

I don't really understand this, isn't this just to remove the resource pack, which is bannable, and will make the game look really bad

 

Why would you want to remove the pack in the first place?

 

Except the server spams you to use the pack even if you are using this method

LOL how would that be bannable? If it is I would be very upset about that decision.

 

Some people have some custom textures they want, or maybe its just too laggy. Another reason could be for example in guild wars, where you would want to load in as fast as possible. If you could removed the popups, nothing would matter because you can already have it loaded in your resource pack folder.

 

Sorry, forgot to specify the last step. Look at step 18 and the pop ups should by removed.

where is the step 19.?

 

When I try to rename the file on Step 17, it doesnt have the .zip extension that i put there

EDIT: Nvm, all you need to do if the .zip doesnt show up anymore is make sure the file extensions are shown

It doesnt work :( I followed every single step and whenever I go into a world it downloads the textures again

 

Found the fix, after you've equipped the texture pack, then go to wynncraft, edit, server resource packs, disabled! Then when u join, you won't get prompt and still have the textures

Why ?
I've seen threads like these before, I'm still confused.

 

Some of us hate the cool down time for the texture pack to load, others want to get an insight onto upcoming textures

 

Sorry mate, I dont know what could have caused that. Are you sure you followed step 17. correctly?

 

Yes very sure when I removed the .zip extension it turned back to a regular FILE

 

Ok. Serious troubleshooting now if you want it. Minecraft only reads a file as a resource pack if it has a file name, pack.png, pack.mcmeta, assets and in assets; minecraft. Did you delete or edit any of those file names?
