Is This A Bug?

i was running around Nesaak at the old guys place with that quest about fish when i killed one of those snowgolems and it dropped Bob's tear.

i looked on the wiki since i ws very confused if you were supposed to get them like that or not. and on the wiki it says only by killing bob the zombie in Ragni so im confused. there were multiple mobs so maybe bob was with them and i didnt notice but that would be unlikly since it was in Nesaak and bob only spawns in Ragni

could anyone tell me if this is supposed to happen or not?

 

Intentional. Same with their occasionally dropping Depressing weapons.

yeah it also dropped a depressing spear or one of the mobs around it did

 

The depressing items drop from all mobs around the ice dungeon thing sooooo... Why not Tears, too? They got a way lower drop rate than the weapons tho.

 

I think in the recent update they modified the mob drops so the respective lv45 mobs around Nesaak would drop the depressing items. I'm assuming they did this because 1) the quest is a lv45 quest and players of that level cannot get drops from lv1 zombies, and 2) the depressing items/Bob's tear was messing up the economy (these items would go for several EB or even 1+ LE if desperate).

So yes, if you get depressing items or Bob's tears around the Nesaak area, then it's normal.

 

Since the last update, almost all the mobs around Bob's Tomb (Near Nesaak) drop Bob Tears & Depressing Items so yeah, that's normal

 

i just got my second tear just outside the ice dungeon :P
