Hello! I'm new here, and am loving this server!

But one thing i've come across is the different types of damages, for example air, earth, fire etc, but here's the thing, i'm currently playing around Ragni, and need to know what type of damage I should use on the mobs within dungeons, in the wild etc, and I need to know how I can tell what type of damage is the most effective on what mob.

    Any help is appreciated.

It depends on the mobs weakness

If a mob is weak to air then use air, but if a mobs defense is water, then water attacks do little - none damage at all

Same goes with attack but the opposite way around, if a mob is fire attack and you have fire defense then you'll be protected.

That doesn't always work, mobs only have weaknesses when their nametag shows one, a mob with fire defense isn't automatically weak against water.
The only way to know mobs weaknesses is the "❉ Weak" tag below their name, if there is no weakness listed then the mob isn't weak against anything.

Also, this is exactly what Elemental Exercise teaches you ;D

Ah alright, I tthink i'm getting this, so only mobs with a "weak" tag under thier name are weak against an element, i've seen skeleton mobs within that level 9 sewers dungeon with that tag, but with a blue text, so does that mean they're weak against water damage?

there are elemental symbols, I'll try gather them up for you:
as you can see fire is like a sun earth like a 4-leaf clover etc. there are also colours correspond to the elements.

You can go by the color next to the Weak tag most of the time, but if they are weak to more than one element then you will have to rely on the symbol.

    ALSO QUICK NOTE:
no mob has defence against natural, but it will never have weakness against neutral.

For the most part, here is how elements work:
    Earth beats Thunder
    Thunder Beats Water
    Water beats Fire
    Fire Beats Air
    Air Beats Earth
Neutral will never be resisted or deal extra damage to mobs

There's another thing I forgot to ask about.

How do I know what type of damage a mob deals?

I've seen mobs in dungeons with the "weak" tag, but one thing i've noticed is the "dam" tag (or whatever it's called), and i'd assume that's the type of damage the mob deals.

And does for example a "weak zombie", or "zombie" that do not have any tags deal any of these elemental damages? And if not what is it? Neutral?

Let's say I have a bow that deals let's say a butt ton of earth damage, and like 30-40 neutral damage, will the earth damage be to any use against any monster without the "weak" tag?

I also have a tier 2 earth powder that apparently deals "21% Neutral to Earth" What exactly does this mean? Will this work for mobs without the "weak" tag?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

You just do regular earth and neutral damage to a mob without any tags, and the powder means that it converts 21% of the neutral damage of a weapon to earth damage.

Neutral to earth means your neutral damage is converted to element damage
weak tags don't mean anything it's just a description
elemental information is: weak = what element to use on that mob to deal the most damage
dam = what type of damage they do to you
def = what type of element won't work on them well

The earth range will deal that just like neutral with out a dam thing it means neutral and 21% neutral to earth means 21% so 21 out of 100 neutral will become earth. If it has def earth symbol then your weapon deals the neutral and about 5 or 6 of the earth

Alright this is starting to come together in my head.

But those 21% that turns to earth damage tho, when you say "You just do regular earth, and neutral damage", what exactly do you mean with "regular earth"

Do you mean that the earth damage works like neutral damage on mobs without any tags?

If I have, say, 50 earth damage, and I attack a mob without any tags, I will do 50 earth damage.

Alright now I get, thank you.

And yes I have another question.

When I look on my powders I see what affect it would have for my weapons, and for my armor, now my question is, if I use any powder on my bow, will that affect my armor in any way?

    example:

    Effect on weapons:

    -5 fire damage
    8+ dexerity damage

    Effect on armor:

    3+ fire defense
    1- water defense

If I apply let's say this powder to my bow, then it will give me 8+ dexerity damage, but make me deal less fire damage.

But will my armor then be affected by this? Will I be weaker to water damage then, or will the powder on my bow not affect my armor at all?

I can understand if it seems like i'm an idiot, i've understood everything else about the elements, but this is probably the one thing left I don't understand about powders, and elements.

Powder on weapons does not affect defences.
