Annoyance

So with this adventure coming to an end, I have one question, am I the only one annoyed that it was SO easily solved. Despite how hyped it was, that it was going to be near impossible, then it gets solved in 2 wks. I don't really play anymore, but I was gonna check on the progress every week, and to be honest I'm disappointed. That's just my two cents though.

What do you guys think?
Was it is difficult?

Side note, what was the original ??? Quest path, and all the hints?
Also, what happened with Gale or us that still not done?

 

tbh f we solved it each player on his own it would have probably taken us a couple of months

yea but if we didn't peak at each other's findings it would have taken us a couple of months.

 

But... That's what this quest was designed around? The developers literally said that this was meant to be a community thing.

 

Considering the fact that secrets usually get found like 2 days after an update gets released, and the fact that 20+ people were working 24/7 to finish this quest and it still took 2 weeks, I'd say this secret is pretty impressive by Wynncraft's standards.

Besides, if you compare this ??? with the old ???, the difference in terms of difficulty in incomprehensible.

Old ??? (yes it's legal to talk about now):

-Find 3 meteor shards that are kind of hidden in plain sight in Gavel (except one, but it's just in a cave)
-Drop 3 meteor shards in giant white meteor behind Cinfras to open a door
-Enter a 4-digit password to open another door
-Talk to Mehme
-Done

(It took like 2 days for the old ??? to be found)

-Find 3 Meteor shards again, but said meteor shards are hidden extremely well by very very complicated puzzles all around the map, with one of them being guarded by a command block AI.
-In each place where you find the meteors, there are pressure plates, once you get all 3 shards, you need like 3 people to stand on these pressure plates at the same time while holding each shard. (and these plates are obviously very spread out)
-Once everyone steps on the plates with the shards, they all get TP'ed into a room with a modern computer, you talk to the computer to begin the quest.
-Then you get like items from various quest areas like the Black spoon from Memory paranoia, a talking mushroom in the Sky Islands, and a mushroom very well hidden in the area for "The Bigger Picture".
-You throw those items in a hidden hopper at Yahya's house, and then you solve some puzzles, with one of the rooms having a QR code pattern on the floor for something.
-You get like a rusted key or something....
-You then go back to that big white meteor behind Cinfras, and throw the rusted key.
-Inside is a teleporter that requires 4 players to work.
-Teleport into a room where Mehme is.
-Talk to Mehme and finish the quest.

(You get a kickass armor set which gives like a total of 150% XP bonus when you finish the quest)
(This is just my guess, I haven't actually done the quest, I just spectated, tell me if anythings wrong or missing)

 

He's right this one is harder and the AI computer took me like 2 hours

 

A few things that you mixed up,
1. Talking mushroom had nothing to do with it in the end, it was a mushroom painting found on skiens island for the hopper.
2. You throw the shards into the white meteor to get in, not the key. Key was just needed for permissions.
3. The teleporter with 4 plates was to Nohno's island and it was in the same room as the rusted lab key.
4. it's a 1 person teleporter to get to mehme once inside the meteor.

Other then that, yea pretty much.

 

I personally think what they should have done is not even say that this existed, people were gonna find it soon. I don't know tho, it just doesn't feel right

 

Hey i pretty much grinded from 69 to 80 doing only a few quests (Wynn D, ToL, Finding light, the one with yahya, idk all of them but very few) can someone tell me what quests i need to do, like to have the right items for ??? and if theres anything specific i need to do during those quests?

 

Funny thing is, Clock Puzzle also took 1-2 weeks.

Also, it is possible there's more to it. Just possible.

 

Yes it took 2 weeks but that is because 1st It wasn't mentioned everywhere and 2nd it wasn't finished when released ( the merchant was missing and added about 2 weeks after release )
If it was as hyped as either of both ??? Then it would have been found really quickly (ok probably still later than first ??? But still much more quickly than it was)

 

merchant had nothing to do with completion speed

The key whiches NBT tags when disconnecting the server. 2 from same world load, 1 any other server.

I believe the key has a purpose...just that it hasn't been found because "Quest Finished: ???"

Blame xrayers and map downloaders for ruining the quest by spoiling the secrets. Without them people would most likely still be doing the quest.

 

While we can not be sure of that, I can say that there was a high likeliness that some people may or may not have used modified clients to find their way through some moments. However, that's just how it is.

 

I don't really condone xraying, but map downloading is unavoidable

You could have done an ARG, impossible to cheat

 

Which key are we talking about? The mechanical chip or the rusted lab key? The mechanical chip is meant to open the door to the red meteor. And for the rusted lab key, you need to hold it to get inside the door that is in the Cinfras meteor. If you are talking about a different key then tell me what it's called

 

Well then ??? Would also count as completed a week before it was because it was only not completable in the last step (and another one also)
