I really didn't want to make this thread because I know that the Wynncraft community is better than this, but I feel that it should be said.

Just now, I was preparing to test out my new set of exp armor in Freezing Heights. On my way there, someone threw down an exp bomb, so I decided to hurry. Upon arriving, I was amazed to see that there were no other players there. There was loot on the ground, but no one else was present which meant that I was able to grind in peace.

Eventually, another player showed up. His first question was "party?", which I ignored (I saw no reason to accept the request), quickly followed by "..." and "What is a level 81 doing here?"
Now, I read a thread yesterday about the reverse happening, where the low level told the high level to leave, so I had a vague idea of how this would end. Despite this, I gave my answer "Good loot and exp" to which he responded with something along the lines of "Lol no, and I will prove it to you" (I will mention that I told them "You can't, but okay")

He then proceeded to tell me that I had a 27% chance to get 0 exp, to which I responded "The high spawn rates negate that argument" (which they do. I was getting close to 4k exp each kill, so it was worth my time to grind there and deal with the RNG). We went back and forth for a while, and the argument eventually got heated. I referred to him as "foolish" and "childish", which I feel were perfectly apt terms to use. For example, I brought up that it would be polite of him to leave because I was the first one there. I acknowledge that double exp sort of throws that out the window, but he stayed even after it expired. Additionally, he responded with arguments such as "If I find the first apocalypse, are all other apocalypses mine?" and "If I'm the first one to Detlas, do I have a right to tell everyone else to leave?". As I hope most of you can tell, these situations are entirely different, yet he asserted that they were the same (most of his other arguments were like that, as well. He even went so far to say that me saying "You're comparing apples to oranges" was "off topic"), and all the while a group of other high levels were backing him up.

Now, I'm not saying that I acted appropriately here; I should have simply ignored him, but this does give me a good excuse to talk about this subject.

    Treat others civilly
(Heh, I probably sound rather hypocritical after all that.) If you go to a grinding area, or somewhere similar, and find that someone was there first, you should respect that and either leave or go to a different section of the area so that you won't bother them. Even if they're a lower level, as long as it's reasonable, do not attack them based on their level. I feel fairly certain that if I had been level 98 or so, he would have treated me far differently, but because of my level, my reasons were attacked, despite being perfectly valid (and let's not forget that such a thing is rather opinionated, as well. Even if it isn't optimal for a player to grind in an area, that's no reason to say "Lol, you're wrong" because in their opinion, it is worth their time).

    Tl;dr:
Treat others with common courtesy, regardless of their reasons or level.

Right, I'd like to apologize for that, but I hate it when people use half baked arguments or disregard things such as common courtesy and act rudely.

Ok, this is wynncraft's version of descrimination....Levelism prehaps?

Well put together, and i fully agree with you. I swap lobbies or head to a different area or task when someone is where I usally grind, no questions asked.

    I 100% agree, maybe a poll is to be added on who's right/wrong/{the obligatoy vote for those who don't care}

it is pretty hard to find a good leveling place in comparison with freezing heights it just has such a high spawn rate and pushover mobs with good xp per kill that it is worth the time for pretty much 80+ if someone is grinding in the same area with you especially freezing heights well the spawn rates is high enough for both of you. Also that person's argument about if you found the first apocalypse is so hilariously different from the situation a more accurate representation is that if you are first in a bathroom stall then do you have certain rights to it or maybe if I rent a house even though I don't necessarily own it don't I have certain privileges?

I believe that it's around 20% of the exp that the player got.
It's definitely not bad (assuming that it doesn't take away from your exp), but I just didn't want to party.

Alright, i was the "guy". But i had some reason
    1. Not full story, but not the point
    2. The apocalyse was a joke of sorts...
    3. i never meant to be hostile, although that might be my own fault
    4. Yes i saw you grinding here and thought u shouldn't, but i didn't mind you here
    5. you called me a fool/childish, which i got offended by, and then the argument went downhill
Im just trying to say here, i wasn't trying to be hostile, or rude, i was just questioning why u were here, if u would of just told me your reasons, and acknowledged mine, it wouldn't have went so downhill, but since you didn't, it went downhill.
    6. after the dxp ended, i wasn't grinding i was in vanish just typing, i would only spin attack once every other sentence, i don't like to not end arguments, just personal arrogance.
I think that covers everything. Anyways, my point is, yes it was wrong of me. Judging people is a natural process, i just chose to ask why u were grinding here, which lead to this arguement.

It's awesome for you to acknowledge what you did/said wrong, however I would also like to point out that the late comer to the grind spot should leave if the person that's already there does not want to party, it's a respect to the other person grinding there and I think you and sadly a lot of people need to understand.
If it's just the OP's perspective then it's ok, it's nice to know, but if you didn't know this just remember it.

It doesn't matter what level you are. If you have an issue with someone using the same grinding spot as you, FIND A DIFFERENT SERVER! Doesn't matter what fucking level you are, or what level the mobs are. It's a public grinding spot. If you're first to the grinding spot, and it's dxp or something, try asking them politely to leave, or if nothing else, at least share the grinding spot fairly. We all get persnickety when someone's stealing all our kills or monopolizing our usual grinding spot but thing is, there's no logical argument to say that it's just yours, or just theirs. Everyone, regardless of level, is allowed everywhere. If a level 1 wanted to grind in frozen heights or the sky islands, let them. Just like any level 100 is free to grind around ragni, even if it's unlikely to happen.

To wit, his argument of the XP was wrong.

Instead of giving you a 3% chance to gain 0 XP per level of difference, you simply lose 3% of the XP gained from mobs per level of difference.

This is why it has two levels, if you are grinding with someone else you can either ask them to go up there or go up yourself.

Now, as Selvut mentioned due to the xp difference I find grinding in the molten man cave easier at that level and then I moved to frozen heights around level 88 or 89, I don't know which but one of those two. The molten man cave if you want to know is that cave that if you walk between Eltom and Theseed you will see because of the fire and the other mob outside of it I can't remember the name of, it's near the molten heights entrance area.

There are actually three or four depending on how you look at it:

The one in the cave, the one above the cave, the one ABOVE that one, and finally the small cave with water-weak mobs west of the skull nearby.

But here is the question: why not move to the varying parts of the area if someone was in one of them?

I see it as you go up the path then you can grind there and the cave is on that level and then there is a path to the right which go to the top level. The very bottom level before you go up doesn't seem fit for grinding in my opinion.

Anyway we do agree on the main point, you should just go to a different server or grind in a different part if someone is there.
