Enchanted Cannons?

    In the dungeons Galleon's Graveyard, there are supposed to be 'enchanted cannons' to kill the boss for you, but I can't figure out how to work them?? I've tried running over them myself, pushing the boss onto the plates, etc, but nothing works. I'd like to be able to complete the dungeon, but just attacking isn't doing any good, he has 749k health and keeps regenning

    any ideas?? Am I missing something stupidly obvious?

    You have to stand on the pressure plates for a few seconds for them to fire.

    @PixelatedSpeck~ and I got him stuck in a corner and almost broke our mouses killing him for 15 minutes because the cannons didn't work XD
