Fuck My Life (bug)

So I was just going about my Wynning as usual, running to the location of the Yellow Meteor for ??? when I decided to take down a Phrumkin Gangster. Oddly, I got immediately one-shot by it, and I noticed my health had plummeted to extremely low numbers.

When I checked my inventory, my heart completely stopped.

All of my armour was completely gone. Vanished into thin air. Two of those pieces were hive-only, which I painstakingly ground a Hunter class to level 80 to get: Gale's Freedom and Flashstep. The other two pieces were Skywatcher and Dark Shroud.

YES I KNOW THERE'S NO REFUNDS, I'M NOT ASKING FOR MY ITEMS BACK.
But I mean air build donations would be much appreciated.

I have no idea how or why this happened, as the last thing I did was switch to my bank classes.

As far as I can see, my ninja class is now completely screwed.

Please, go into detail about exactly what you did before dying to the gangster. Anything could help to solve this. Literally, everything. Every last detail you can remember.

Alright, so I was in Cinfras and I got 4 emerald blocks out of my bank. I exchanged these four emerald blocks into 4 stacks of emeralds and ran to the Cinfras potion shop, buying the potions seen in the image. I then went back to my bank before afking for a bit to check the forums. When I came back, I opened my compass menu and noticed I had a daily reward waiting for me, which I took. I then sold the normal items from the daily reward, went and identified the two items I got and sold those too, and went back to my bank and changed the stack of emerald I'd earned alongside the 3 emerald blocks (now four with the exchange) and put them in my bank. I noticed I still had an Empire Builder, Moonbeam and 3 Zhight Money in my bank, so I decided to change to one of my bank classes. I accidentally selected my 'Ninja' class which I'd had put in Bob's Tomb to easily open for those that needed it. I instinctively opened my inventory, and noticed I had a Test Chestplate 60 on my Ninja, but since I wasn't ever going to leave the tomb, and the class was basically a weight for the pressure plate, I decided to just shrug it off because the class had very little use outside of the tomb. I was quite curious about the effects of this chestplate, however, so decided to change my currently bugged Montefiore for the chestplate, which I just assumed would do nothing, which (I guess) it did as nothing changed. I then switched to my Assassin, who was placed in the update room, and opened my bank. I noticed this wasn't the class I had the previous 3 Zhight money (both instances were gained from Seaskipper Captain) so I decided to switch to another of my bank classes, my mage. My mage also didn't have the same items, so I switched to my Warrior who I had stationed in Detlas bank who I knew had some empty slots for equipment. I stored my Moonbeam, Empire Builder and Zhight Money on it before changing back to my Ninja to head off to the location of the Yellow Meteor in ???. I can't remember my health exactly as I did it, so I can't say for sure if I had 110 Health then. I opened the Loot Chest II(?) next to the bridge leading over the river to the old meteor shard site below the new Forge, and collected I believe 4 emeralds boosting my 29 emeralds I had left in my inventory to 33 Emeralds, which I smiled at for Homestuck reference reasons. I ran over the bridge and realised I'd need to throw one of my emeralds into the map to access the yellow meteor, which would lower them to 32. I decided to try and get some Phrumpkin Seeds instead to I wouldn't have to sacrifice my referential emeralds upon seeing a Phrumpkin Gangster stationed just below the ladders leading down from the bridge. I jumped towards him before he one-shot me in the air, and I found myself in Elfim. The rest you already know.

You see tons of other players lose their stuff, but you never think it'll happen to you. I now understand their pain.

 

Only thing I can think of is the test chestplate or update room somehow causing an issue. A small reminder that it's not quite legal to keep the test items, so you should get rid of that immediately(or as soon as you feel it safe to return to the game). Aside from those causing an issue, I can only imagine this was a grievous error with player data... I'm grasping at straws here, as I have no idea how the item and update room could correlate with item deletion and, should there have been a player-data error, I would assume this would have been much more widespread, as well as affecting more than one of your classes.

Still, hopefully your description will help. Salted has been informed of this, but has not yet responded. Hopefully a cause will be found soon, and this bug fixed.

 

Well, at least once it gets fixed, nobody else has to suffer the same bug I and many other players have suffered. Thanks for your help, Selvut.

 

Since the chest and boots are untradable you should use Booster Plate and Steamjet Walkers for now til you get them back c;

 

Yeah, I guess I could look around for some of those.

 

All these bugs, and the staff still insist on upholding the no-refund policy, even when players have proof.

 

One think I could think of is that the empty armor slots from other classes cloned over to your class. I've seen some issues in the github about inventories duping over classes.

 

That's kind of weird; wouldn't I have gotten duped items from my bank classes as well though?
