Updating Items / Adding Items For Nether?

I noticed that while the update has made adjustments to most of the items in game, the nether still runs with the old item system (with old versions of items and new items unusable).

For example, here's what my maelstrom looks like in the nether:

As you can see the spell damage is over 20(current max) and it has 2 powder slots. Also please don't laugh at my tier1 fire powder on it

I don't know if they intend to keep the nether this way, but I personally think it would be fun to see updated versions of the items and new items in nether :D What do yall think
