Whats A Build?

Hey, I recently came back from an ~2 year break and Ive heard people talk about builds a lot, and Im curious, what is a build exactly. Thanks!

A combination of gear and skill points

 

A build is certain items ( weapons/armors/accessories) and skillpoints set up together to create certain reactions. A mana regen build you would use items such as Third Eye ( 4/4 mana regen ) Aquarius ( 10something/4 mana regen ) Crystal ( 3/4 mana regen ) and Memento ( 4/4 mana regen ) and invest skill points Intelligence cause it makes your spells cost less mana in certain percentage.

Edit : How Mana Regen Builds typically work - You can typically spam spells such as dash from very high places to cover a huge travel distance because you get around 6-8 dashes before you land. Since mama regena and intelligence is associated with water and this type of warrior can cover mass distance of water using this technique people refer to them as "Surfers" ( Water warrior )

More builds I can come up with

Walkspeed ( Known by the community as 'Sanic' ) - Consists of high walk speed items generally associated with Assassins and Archer ( Mainly Archer ) due to the fact they have many weapons that grant walkspeed even a mythic for each dedicated to air stats and walkspeed

Spell Damage - This build is commonly associated with Mana Regen build due to the fact that this build's damage relies completely on spells ( You might even have negative melee damage ) commonly used by Mage. The items are the same as the mana regen items since the 4 armor pieces also offer either flat spell damage or percentage spell damage.

Melee Damage - Build is usually associated with Warrior ( Other classes can work with this build too ) as the name suggest its all about melee attacks. Revolves around Earth meaning you'll likely have either low or negative walk speed so people go Earth and Air to combat this because Air gears offer walkspeed.
NOTE : All attacks that's non spell or powder special is considered melee, meaning Mage and Archer's normal hits are considered melee too.

Cactus ( Or as I'd like to call it... The scumbag that always sits around in the nether build ) The name says it all, you attack the user of this build you take damage back they have high reflection and thorns so spells and melee attacks all damage YOU sometimes one spell can one shot yourself if you have low health ( High spell damage mages typically have low hp so their meteor can kill them self in on hit due to you dealing more damage than you can take yourself if it was dropped on you )
