Sunken [something?] In The Selchar Reef ?

So I found a... thing in the coral reef east of Selchar. It's made of blue clay, blue carpet, chiseled quartz, and nether quartz, AKA not things found elsewhere in the area. I didn't know if maybe there was a lore connected to it somehow?

 

that was mentioned in the beta feedback area as a treasure farming ground
underwater a bunch of items spawn and in selchar theres a merchant you can give them to for money (all except coral of nelfors)

 

I'm aware of the purpose of the general area ( that's how I found this thing) but this is a specific object sunk in the reef itself that is different, and has no easy explanation for why it's not like everything else. which leads me to think it's part of a lore
