After my vacation from England, I decided to play on the good ol' server, Wynncraft. I notice there's been a new update, that's pretty sick. Some new items, etc. Then I log into the server. Cool, the lobbies are still practically the same. I see my friend on a server and decide to join the server he's on. BANG, INSANE LAG.
I litereally drop to like 5-15 fps as soon as I get the resource pack. I don't know how a resource pack can cause that much fps lag since usually I get 100 fps.

    Things I 100% know it can't be.
    1. It's not the settings as I made everything the best it can be to help my fps.
    2. I have optifine installed and those settings are the best as well.
    3. It's not the ram I allocated since my friend has the same ram allocated and his session has no lag whatsoever.
    4. I let Java have high priority in Task Manager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I don't know whether this is in the right section or not. I'm new to the forums and couldn't find an actual section with threads like these, so if it's not the right section, sorry in advance!

    Minecraft:
Open the wynnpack legacy file in server_resourcepacks and extract the files to a new Folder in your resource_packs folder.

EDIT: Also, try using F3 + A to reload chunks whenever you lag

    Hey! Sorry to hear this.

    Could you please tell me:
    - The amount of RAM allocated.
    - Your display size, also called resolution.
    - Your graphics card.
    - Your processor.
    - Some of the OptiFine settings you set.

    Thank you!

To captionganon: I only find the legacywynncraft file by itself and I can't extract it, I can only compress it. Sorry if I'm being stupid .-.. EDIT: I've done it, I just renamed the file legacy.zip but even then, my minecraft still lags. I don't think my minecraft is capable of running this pack in general.

To TehBrian: RAM allocated is 4gb
    Resolution: 867x483
Graphics Card: Intel (R) HD Graphics
    Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU B950 @ 2.10GHz
Optifine Settings: All the best settings, don't worry about that.

Hey! First off, at the bottom right of my post (or anyone's for that matter, except yours) theres a button called 'Reply' and lets the other person get a notification (an alert) saying that you replied, plus it directly quotes their post! you can also like my post.. pfft just ssayyin'

Here are some things I notice right off the bat:

    - Your resolution is a bit small, would you mind telling me why exactly? Are you using a laptop?

    - Try allocating only 2GB of RAM instead, because too much RAM can mean big FPS drops. The reason for this is that all the information stored on your RAM has to be deleted, and something called Garbage Collector does that. When you have too much RAM allocated, the Garbage Collector gets pretty lazy, and decides to delete it at the last moment, causing a huge lag spike!

    - You tell me you have an Intel Pentium, and even though Pentium is advertised as a good CPU (which is a processor, its just called a CPU) by Intel, its actually quite bad, and can only do basic things well, let alone gaming.

    - Now, you tell me your using Intel HD Graphics, and that means you don't have a separate GPU (which is a graphics card, its just called a GPU).
This part is going to get a bit technical, bear with me! This means that your CPU is working as a CPU (does math and stuff) but since you don't have a separate graphics card (since you have a laptop, I'm guessing) the CPU is ALSO working as a GPU (renders games and such) which is not really optimized. I have a laptop myself, and I have no separate GPU either, but my CPU is an Intel Core i5 which is a bunch better than a Pentium, and since you have a worse CPU, then its struggling to do both jobs

Conclusion: Sadly, your computer itself isn't great. It just isn't meant for gaming. If you have a desktop, then consider getting a dedicated GPU (if you need help with that, ask me!) and maybe a new CPU.

If you unfortunately DO have a laptop, then you'll just have to bear with it until you can afford a desktop, and if you can afford to get a desktop, do that (I can help with that too, so you don't get ripped off and get a terrible desktop computer!)

In the end, I think you'll want disable the Wynncraft Resourcepack, as that can be a bit of a drag with the 3D Models and such, and if THAT doesn't work, combine that and put all your OptiFine settings to the ABSOLUTE minimum!

    Best regards, Brian.

Thanks for replying. Yeah, I just disabled the pack and hopefully I can get a new GPU or CPU. What would $70-$100 get me?
