Yep I think those are Chinese characters. (those chars are actually in Japanese too.)
The problem is, the NPC's name is, "Sensei Miyagi".
Literally Japanese name.

I think they added the element of both Chinese and Japanese in this quest, because there is stuff like Shijue and Daochang which stands for sight and dojo.

 

Pretty sure it means no hats are allowed in the temple.

Or @Nohats and @Hams built this temple.

没有帽子 translates to 'no hats', with the 'no' meaning 'lack of', not a prohibition.

 

Actually i built the temple and made the area around, village (or/and some other builders) changed the colors and some interior for the quest. Nohats is mentioned because Acer made the signs and we were testing things (such as names) and if i remember correctly, at some point, we said like:" " no hats..something..something (i don't speak the language)" yea that's nice, let's do that". If it's not the exact right terms, i don't really care, it's just a good little add-on ^^

I think that the words on the maps should be changed to 桜の道場 or something, literally meaning "Sakura Dojo" in Japanese. And since the starter NPC has a Japanese name, Qiángdù (強度) should be renamed Kyōdo, Dàochǎng (道場) should be totally renamed to Kakutō (格鬥) since its Japanese is, well, Dojo. As for Shìjué (視覺), it should be renamed to Shikaku, and Xìngzhì (興致), should be renamed to Kyōchi.

Japanese and Chinese are similar, but they are still different and have different pronunciations. I as a Chinese speaker (and one who watches Chinese subbed, not dubbed anime) really hope that people who don't speak Asian languages respect this.
