SPOILER Very Serious Complaint On Canary Calls

Tantibus thats exactly what Im saying :P If it wasn't clear what I was saying is that /class was probably a glitch/bug and is not intended to remove it cuz if it was they would say that

You might not care if you get a headache but others do :)

They should at least disclose the fact that it'll happen cause some people may get really sick towards suck effect.

If you do /class in the last part it glitched it.

 

I just did this quest today. Although I thought it was very funny, I had my son do the parkour and then my daughter did the minecart puzzle bit. Of course when they play, getting a potion of drunkenness from Nemract is fun to them, but a "never do again" for me, lol. Needless to say I fall in the group of players that did not care for the unique spin on this quest.

Perhaps at the puzzle part there could be a helmet called "gas mask" that is throw away after quest. While wearing it for puzzle, which is the longest portion of quest, you would be able to escape the harmful effects?

 

I've done the quest twice, had no problem. You just need to think in terms of distance, not what h see. If shifting stops u at this block, then sprint and jump off a little back. As for the puzzle, the rails and pressure plates are large enough to see with nausea.

 

I absolutely agree that something needs to be changed. The quest would be pretty good (IMO) if the nausea was removed, or used much less often. But as it stands now, this is my least favorite quest.

 

Yeah, the parkour was fine, but the puzzle... just why? (hard Minecart puzzles are already rage-inducing, why add nausea to the mix, do you want us to rage Tant?)

 

Maybe only add the nausea effect at the start of the quest when you enter the cave, and remove it for the rest of the quest after you enter the crack in the ground that's releasing the gas.

Parkour with extreme nausea is videogame hell, not to mention trying to solve a puzzle with the effect on. And also, when the Fleris burned the remaining of the gas in the cave, setting everything on fire, in terms of logic you're not supposed to feel dizzy at all, because all the gas has been burnt.
Not to mention trying to even ESCAPE the cave with nausea is ridiculously hard enough. I escaped the cave with 2 seconds left.

When I helped with The Canary Calls before the update was out, I already had mixed feelings about this.



Plus I don't even know what the name "Canary Calls" has to do with the context of the quest. Isn't canary a bird?!

 

In ACUTAL coal mines canaries are used to tell if the workers should leave the mine. Canaries need a higher oxygen content than humans, so when the bird passes out (or dies) they know they need to leave the mine for safety reasons

I found this to be one of the best quests actually
Nausea didn't bother me at all

 

May not bother you but it can bother others, this post wasn't made for you so saying "didn't bother ME at all" really isn't proving anything

I did the quest when I had a headache.
It made me have a worse headache.
Said headache lasted the rest of the day.

It was fun.
Aside from the headache.

 

Only because I went to an old coal mine for a field trip nearly 10 years ago

It wasn't because of the nausea itself, it's the minecart puzzle AND the nausea that killed my brain
