    I'm going to assume no as you bought it from the Armor shop and its not listed as a Quest Item but I just want to double check if I can toss it or not.

    I believe you can throw it away, thats what I did. You can always head back to Nessak and re-buy the Breathing Helmet LV2. (Unless, of course, you want to save money.)
