Media Maelstrom Nerf

It already does 3 elements of damage and is very very powerful on its own. You are not getting a second powder slot, because, like Az, it would be overpowered with it.

Exactly why I was very much against adding a second powder slot. That one, since it was a Mythic, was Salted's choice.

 

Wait, it does...? YES! Time to get powder!

 

Az still got two powder slots, if you're gonna buff one you might as well buff the other so Maelstrom will at least be decent in the endgame. Either buff maelstrom or give us another bow that's like maelstrom but better.

 

You know there doesn't have to be a bow for EVERY elemental combination, plus maelstrom is still very good, even without specials.

 

Maelstrom isn't MEANT to be in the endgame. Neither is Az! And, if you noticed...

Thusly, if we add a second powder slot to Maelstrom, we'd have to severely nerf its other ID's or damage as well.

 

The nerf was stupid, my Infinity is more powerful now.

I'd honestly be fine if every mythic/legendary had 2 powder slots but were nerfed accordingly.

I thought that Gavel aimed to make more than just a few choices end game. Might as well nerf almuj's walkers while we are at it.

 

And then we'd have a whole lot less variance in the weapons.

"Do I just want a really strong weapon, or would I rather go more strategic and pick something with powder slots?"

If we give everything 2+ slots, there's no choice in the matter, and most things do already.

 

I'm more or less thinking 'i have a legend, i want to do cool shit with it'. I probably don't have the best balancing perspective.

 

To explain WHY:

The base damage and attack speed of maelstrom and infinity are the same.

Infinity might not have the spell damage boost, but it has good boosts to skill points and elemental defense.

On top of that, infinity has two powder slots rather than one, allowing for not only a better increase to base damage, but higher damage output via specials.

Even if maelstrom were slightly stronger, it's level 70. Infinity is only level 55!

20-30 neutral/fire/water/thunder/earth/air damage(120-180)
Skill Requirements: 10 str/def/int/dex/agi
Skill Boost: +5 str/def/int/dex/agi
15 skill points= 13.9% boost
Total boost: 13.9%

20*1.139=22.78(round 23)
30*1.139=34.17(round 34)
5(23-34)+20-30= 135-200 damage

Maelstrom:
50-90 water/40-100 air/60-110 thunder damage(150-300)
Skill Requiements: 20 int/dex/agi
Skill Boost: +6 int/dex/agi
21 skill points= 19% boost
Spell/Melee Damage Bonus: 15%
Bonus Water/Air/Thunder Damage: 15%
Total boost: 49%

150*1.49=223.5(round 224)
300*1.49=447(round 447)
No neutral addition: 224-447 damage

I would but there's no other weapon for my build that does all 3 elements of damage.

 

then change ur build. The eco is in shit after all. would harm you to spend some $$

 

Math or no math, my infinity is doing more damage than my maelstrom.
